Ive enjoyed much of the poetry in this area of the forums but ive yet to contribute. So I figured..what the hell. Heres a quick little poem I wrote especially for the forums (Its the first poem ive written sence my junior year in high school so bear with me)

TRAPPED

I lie here in my fortress of flesh and bone
my castle that I defend
Concenting to this cramped existence
suffering to no end

A fear binds me to this wretched place
A fear that sufficates desire and will
A fear that grips me for now.....untill it gets its fill

How I wish to leave
no more stairing at these floors
But sadly it is me that closed and locked these doors

Some day I will fly
from these hollow walls that bind
till then I remain
trapped inside my mind
