For those who play any music instruments;

what are some of your favourite songs to play and on which instrument?

I'm just starting to learn Electric Guitar, and I'm learning on a Yamaha EZ-EG, which is a very unique, and odd guitar, its actually more of a keyboard than a guitar lol, but still does the job and more.

Sorry for going of topic, because i dont actually know how to play any songs yet, but just wanted to see what you guys thought of the EZ-EG.

I don't have fave songs to play. The song must fit my mood. Since my instrument is the bass, I must enjoy playing it. If I like the song, I'll probably enjoy playing it. I don't choose a song because of the "coolness" of bass parts. I'm a terrible bass player anyway, so I don't think I can say I like playing songs in which bass parts are extremely complex :right:

And since I haven't been playing a lot of violin lately whenever I pick it up I mostly get into Vivaldi stuff.

The songs I picked aren't all really hard although some of them have their parts but I posted them because they're the ones that usually give me great joy to play.

There are just certain songs that make you feel great to play though - I'm only listing songs written by others though. It's always the most fun to write yourself or jam with others.

But like what Fortune said, the mood has to be right as well or else the joy can't really come out.

On my guitar a lot of Hendrix(he still is god!!!) but a few of my favorites; - castles made of sand( the beginning is one beautiful guitarpart with the typical Hendrix slides)
- Remember me
- Red house

Also some Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Stariani, Ry Cooder( when I find that damn slide back that is...), all sort of strange blues songs, Pat Metheny etc.

When I get to play the drums it's mostly Hardcore/punk( cause it's the only thing I can play on drums).
When I get my hands on a bass I usually burst out in this whack Les Claypool/Flea impression, slapping and popping the strings till my hand hurts:laugh: .

oo i play the trumpet and my favorite song to play is hot cross buns cause its easy to play. And i memorised it.
