Another wallpaper
I told you I was going to post a second wallpaper.
Ok, it's ready. This one is eastern-style. I had a bad time trying to put in it the pic of a chinese dragon :p If you're wondering why I'm making those wallpapers on the same character (that propably you don't know), well, it's because I needed some dowloadable goodies for I shrine on him I'm mantaining. This is the second wallpaper of my life, and I guess that's why I had so many difficulties. looks good fortune, all I would recommend is making the text different styles and ranging more around the screen, but other than that it looks great! Might want to blend a bit more backgrounds though...

are you talking about the "arial" text or "the "far east" text? |
change arial, I have more than 300 different fonts on my computer, and I use a lot of them, the standard stuff sucks. Go to google and search for fonts, and you shall find a page called 1001fonts.com or something. I see...I picked Arial not because I have no fonts on my Pc, but only because with idegrams I had to use a very linear and simple font to not mess up with the style of the pic. I think it's better to not make the wallpaper too messy and also to underline the text. Writing all the text in Far East was not a good idea, and with ideograms and Far East together you can't use another type of font.
Oh well, at least that's my opinion :) |
well then again its all depending on what you prefer, of course your preferance is your style of making graphics I just told you my opinion about it, but I could be wrong, so everything is in the eye of the beholder. =P

I think this one is even better than the map one, maybe because I like the black/red colors more than the sepia one.
The dragon is very good, and I think Arial is perfect for the quotation. For a long text is better using a clear font and for titles and names something more...original ;) About blending, I think there's no need to blend the images more because they don't have to look mixed together. I think they have to look separated. Anyway, I liked the idea in general :) |

Agree with those who said the colors are great: the theme for this wallpaper and the way you mixed the elements together are amazing!

You are really good at working on computers. I love the pic, and a still need to see that anime.
I tried to do a few wallpapers before, didn't do very well though. But what can you do when all you got is Microsoft Paint, and a scanner that doesn't work. |
