College? Oh, no!
Hello, everybody! :shappy:
Seems like I've been away for a while now, and that's basically because of one reason: college. Gah, I can't even begin to tell you how stressed out I am! >.<; I mean, most of the applications are to be in by December, so I need to (seriously) decide where it is I'm going to apply to. This, believe it or not, is incredibly hard for me! For one, I don't really know what I want to major in, and secondly, I don't think I'm going to get into anything (you how that is XD)! Eek! I mean, you know...," What if I get turned out for every college?" "What if I get a 200 on my SATs?!" - Those things. ^_^ And then, my classes are so terribly hard! To put in bluntly: I haven't played a game in months because I just don't have any time! Ack! Oh, and I'm taking my SAT I this Saturday and my ACT test later this month...and my SAT II's in November ... :S *sigh* So, yeah... now that you know where I've been (along with my low blood pressure  ), here's a question: For those who have gone to (or are in) college, what did you choose? Do you think a 4 year undergrad. uni. is better or a community college + transfer? And for those, that like me, are barely going to go: Do you see yourself going straight to a 4-year uni. or to a junior (CC) college first? And of course, why? I'm really interested in your opinions, you guys! Oh, and... it's great to see everyone again! :shappy: |
I'm going to a community college and plan on transferring myself, mainly because I never took the SATs and my GPA when I graduated high school last June was a little higher than a 2.0 but not by much. I'm not sure what would be better, guess it depends on you.

Good to hear from you, but I'm afraid I can't help you mate....cause we got a whole different college system over here and quit frankly I don't have the slightest clue what your talking about. I hope things work out for you and I think you'll make the right choices my friend. Just go by your feelings and you'll do fine.

At the very worst, you could go to a junior college if for some reason you werent accepted by a major school. But, i doubt that will happen. A good friend of mine has a son who is already studying for the SAT in the tenth grade, there is a class set up for that, so although i gather you havent gotten that chance, some do. I expect your experiencing the jitters that a young person your age encounters, but will then be pleasantly surprised to see everything go well as you meet the challenges ahead....

MENA! We missed you! I thought you were kept in some gloomy prison by some evil creature, like a striped two-headed rabbit! Choosing, when you have to start college or university, is always difficult, but I know you can do it better than most people! We're all crossing our fingers! At least, I'll do it for you! Good luck! ;) |
I remember having to do the all important choice thing last year.:P
Cept I didn't have to do those tests. Good Luck. |
Mena, I'm sure you'll do fine! First time you have to choose you're kinda afraid to fail or to make mistakes, but don't worry! And good luck with tests! :)
