yeah it was scheduled for an april release..now according to Gamestop, the date is set for august. :(

Yeah well this suck's. i enjoyed silent hill to for the time i played it. just give's me more time to beat SH2......now i need to rent that damn game again.

first indication of this game going multiplatform. If it does i'll pick up the xbox version.

no big deal, PS2 will get it first so, dont have a problem with the game going multiplatform.;)

the more people able to have access to this masterpiece the better. It only encourages Konami to continue the series.

I didnt think the SH3 would come out on gamcube, oh well...it will sell more, good for konami.

I dont know, but I think it'll be released for the PC for sure and XBOX as well. Yeah nothings too sure for GC, but hey they have the RESIDENT EVIL series, they dont need it anyway.

Oh it's so unfair!:weep: I finished Silent Hill 2 months ago! What will I do until August? Oh well, I guess it's for the better. At least now I can save a little money then since I have plenty of time before it comes out.

There are plenty of game coming from now till August, just wait and see, gonna be a good game.

You shouldn't complain that you can't finish the second game when I haven't even played the other two and I have no money for any of them. Actually if I get a job as soon as I get out of school then I could get the first two and play them and then get the third one. What are some of the good points on the games?

Konami reveals plans to release Silent Hill 3 in Europe before Japan and North America.

Konami of Europe has announced that Silent Hill 3 will be released in Europe on May 23, before the release of the North American and Japanese versions of the game. In Silent Hill 3, players take control of a woman named Heather, who ventures through a town only to find that it's being overrun by a group of incredibly strange creatures. The development team has constructed an entirely new engine for the game that has enabled them to construct highly detailed character models and environments. The game also features proprietary audio technology that mimics the surround sound experience.
Silent Hill 3 is scheduled for release in North America in August.

I had a horrible thought...What if the reason it's delayed is because they were told by sony or someone to tone down the violence and disturbing imagery, etc.?!? I read a preview for the game in GI that said 90% of the images they were given of the game couldnt be shown in the mag because they were too disturbing. THe editer said "No way!" My first thought was, AWESOME! But then I wondered if that could be the reason for its delay...:shock: :peoples:

Yo ssjtrunks, silent hill 2 is adopted in the platinum series, so it's a bargain right now. I'm gonna get it, when I hear all you guys going ballistic(???) about the follow up I just can't wait.
