Astro Boy movie

Just today I read they're releasing a movie about Tezuka's Astro Boy. But... it's mostly an American movie, even though Hong Kong and Japan are also producing it! The character in screenshots didn't look as nice as in the Japanese animation, so I knew there was something weird going on befre reading. I don't know what to expect. I'm not a huge fan of the original Astro Boy to begin with, but I've always thought it's ok. I prefer other Tezuka stuff, like Metropolis or Black Jack for example. But making a CG movie about it and having mostly an American staff working on it. I don't think I'd like them to turn it into a Pixary kind of movie. Won't it spoil it entirely? What do you guys think?
