"Coughs" I'm assuming we already know this, but I'll post it anyway... Truthfully, I found out about watching Attack of the Show, and then some body at another forum posted it, so... cheers

With the newest installment of the fighting game franchise once again going multi-console, Bandai-Namco is again offering exclusive characters for each version: Darth Vader for the PS3, and Yoda for the 360.

Via 1up.com who got the news first:

Other than the 1st Soul Calibur, I'm not really a fan of the series. But I can't help, but to laugh at this. "Wonders what kind of moves will they have."

I'm not into Star Wars either, so I don't know any of the abilities they do in moves other than swing a light saber and use "the force"..

I'm not sure Star Wars characters shoule be made available to games not involved in the SW brand at all. I like Star Wars, but I don't want everything Star Wars to be used everywhere.

I agree with everyone. I'm not into Star Wars so I've never seen it but I think it's stupid to add a huge franchise into an already popular franchise. Not to mention that the two of them aren't remotely related in any way. Heihachi, Link, and Doom were fine as bonus characters for SC2 but this is just really dumb to me. :disturb:

I actually don't mind this; it's nothing worse then say a horribly outlandish and stupid custom character you could create in SC3.

As long as Namco doesn't make any attempts to merge them into the story. You'd think it would be obvious that they wouldn't but fighting games are perhaps the most insane things of all time when it comes to story. So I wouldn't put it past them to do something as hilariously retarded as that.

I hope when Vader loses a match he goes "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOO!!!"
:P

wow this game is gonna be ridiculously unbalance online, imagine playing a Yoda player online and you can only hit him with low attacks cause he's too f'ng short. :boo: :disgust:

:nerv: That's so true now that you mention it! Maybe the Light Saber will make up the height difference. XD

I'm okay with it, just as long as i get to be Chewbacca and slap people around with his paws.

Well let me tell you, I have this game and it is amazing and there's nothing ridiculous about Vader or The Apprentice. They are really fun to play with and they did an amazing job putting those characters together. Sure it looks kind of funny to see a lightsaber crossed with a katana... if you're gonna get nerd-technical sure, the lightsaber should melt the katana, but it's a VIDEOGAME. Open your minds ppl. And the character creation is the best I've seen in any game I've played where you get to create your own character. If anybody out there plays it remember my PS3 name is RJcaffeine. Peace !

hi meryl and berserker, i haven't posted here since forever it seems like. it's good to see that the site is still here though, and hope you both are doing well.

i finally picked this game up today, i really shouldn't have (so much backlog!) but i couldn't resist any longer. plus the price was right, so that didn't help either.

Hey IM good to see you around, also! I stopped playing this series a good while back, but have noticed it has dropped in price, making it fairly easy to grab no doubt. Im currently playing Star Ocean 4 for the 360 and kinda dabbling with a few different ps2 games, Rule of Rose and Trapped. Peace, hope to see you all around this summer! Leaving for the UK in 3 weeks for a bit...
