loads of people own teenie bits of them. Among them are microsoft and maybe even Nintendo. Most importantly though, Square actually own quite a lot of themselves. (more than Sony anyway...)

The two main ones are:

Sony=17%
Nintendo=around 9%

As far as I know, Microsoft doesn't have any shares in Squaresoft.
