The Movies

I don't know if this is the right forum to place this thread so, sorry if it isn't.

Has anyone heard of this Sim-like game called "The Movies" which I think is developed by the same people who did "Fable." Anyway, it's available for the PC and, supposedly, the GC.

You basically get to create your own movies using Sim-like people. You get to run your own studio, direct the movies, cast your actors/actresses, customize their appearance, write the scripts and more. There's also the different eras you can choose to create your movies, such as the 1920's (the early silent films) to 2005. After you're done creating your film, you can post it online (for PC, I think) and show the world, which people can vote the best. I think it sounds rather neat, I wouldn't dare post my movies out (too embarrassed) but I think it'd be interesting to create your own film.

The movies is also coming to PS2 and Xbox as well so I think it's multi-platform all the way across the board, PC being best since you can post your movies online.

But I'm interested in the title, it's not on my top 10 but I have interest in it, the idea is something never really used and something I think sounds really neat. Now I'll make a zombie film or horror film where the stupid people actually die instead or running around and somehow live through situations that probably had divine intervention how else could they make it? :P

I think the PC version will get the most attention because of the online showing feature, I'll be getting the console version but it will be interesting to see what people come up with.

It sounds like my kind of thing and I'd like to know if it was any good before I go commiting to anything... :)

Sadly, there has been a change to the console release...this game is now PC exclusive. I've been waiting for the console version forever which is why I never bought the PC edition. But now I'll have to...

Anyway, I heard the game is very tough and frustrating because it mimicks real life movie directing. That's all I've heard but I still want to try it. :)

oh poop!
I can't load anything onto this computer because it is rubbish, i'll have to wait til I get the other computer set up, which won't be until we can afford broadband... and that is probably a long time off :(

but if anyone gets it in the meantime let me know how it is :)
