I've just read on the web that they already have 'ideas' for the next game and that they are planning to continue this serie a bit more, meaning that it could even go behond just a 4th game. ( I'll have a link later if you want )

Anyways, I was wondering if you had any requests or ideas about what you would want in the next Metal Gear Solid. Would you like to see another team of villains Ã* la Foxhound, Dead Cell and Cobra? If so... what would you want them to be like?

Would you like to play as another character than Solid Snake?
Would you like to be in a specific environment?
Would you like to have a completely new type of gameplay?

..well first of all i would like to have Solid Snake back in da game ...i would also like to have NINJA (grayfox...Deepthroat)back in da game again cuz i just love the style of ninja ...he is my fav character in MGS series after Solid Snake....but i think that Hideo Kojima will take a very different step in MGS 4....coz no one was expecting... Raiden in MGS2 ...And in MGS3...no one was expecting Big Boss and the story of late 60's ....

sorry guys but i saw on the offical site that this will be the end of the MGS series. i cant remember were i saw it but i deffinetly did. They will still make games like MGS and stuff but with a different story canon than it. SORRY X_X;

Konami revealed promising results for the first half of its 2005 Fiscal Year today in addition to confirming the existence of several of its upcoming videogames. The most notable revelation, of course, was that preliminary work on Metal Gear Solid 4 has already begun -- though the system, release year, and creative team behind it was not revealed. Konami's representatives also expressed a strong desire to sell more units of Metal Gear Solid 3 in comparison to the award winning MGS2, which was released in late 2001.

I took that article from ign and it's on many different sites... although some reports seem to say that they also have 'ideas' for other Metal Gear Solid, even after the 4th one.

Sure, this doesn't mean that the next games will follow the story of the 3 last ones, but I guess it's more than just a possibility. Anyway, that's not really the point of the discussion... it's to come up with ideas.

Yeah the 4th one is already in the making, and I would like to see that on PS3 on the Launch day, wouldn't that be the best thing ever. And yes I want the story to take place from where Sons of Liberty ended. And yes Ninja should be in it as Devil Snake said..........because we all know he is still alive, as he is the only one who rescued Niomi Hunter from the hi security jail as mentioned in the book written by Natasha in MGS2.

But yeah..I want more Meta Gear Solid story line.

What I really want is both sequels for Snake Eater and Sons of Liberty.

Playing as Big Boss was an unmemorable experience, but so it was with Snake. It was basically playing both as father and son. If you think about it, Snake is doing nothing but carrying the legacy of his father, the same way Big Boss was doing with The Boss.

I´m just so very thrilled about seeing what happens with Big Boss until he creates Outer Heaven. How he gets there and how he does it.

On the other hand, I´m dying to see what´s the deal with Olga´s baby, and, you won´t believe me, I´d really like to play with Raiden again, but just as a secondary character, or have him as "company" the same way he had Snake at the end of SOL.

And of course, finishing once and for all good old damned Ocelot. And liquid.

Remakes of the first Metal Gears would be outstanding, but I don´t know about that happening.

All I know is there are so many unanswered questions that i want answers to. Like The Boss mentioned she had a child with the Sorrow. Who is that child. Also after MGS2 Solid Snake was off to find Olga's Child, Liquid/Ocelot, and The Patriots. What happned with that? I think Kojima should write a book like a series. I'd probably start reading again if he did.

I know, this is a somewhat 'old' thread, but I saw that the last post that was made in this sub-forum was almost a month old! I just couldn't bare the thought of seeing the Metal Gear Solid forum die like this... I had to do something... anything.

I want to know what is up with the "Patriots". I would just assume that there will be a new cast of villians for boss fights, going with the MG tradition. Solid should be the only playable character, but Raiden will be in the game and play a part in the story. I also want to know what the hell Liquid is planning to do inside of Ocelot's body.

What kind of 'Boss fights' you think would be interesting and original?

I was thinking that maybe a blind samurai chick would be cool... she would have extremely keen hearing and she would follow the sound of Snake's footsteps and heartbeat to locate him on the battlefield. In order to defeat her, you'd have to be extremely quick, dodging her rapid charges by rolling on the floor and you'd have to try to lure her to certain places, in order to hit her.

... so, how 'bout you?
