FF7 (retro huh.)

Because of the Advent Children movie I have gone back and replayed the FF7 game, but some things are bothering me for example does anyone know how to get shadow flare on the enemy skill material besides Ruby and Ulimate Weapons or the best combination of party members, material, weapons, and armor to beat Emerald Weapon. (feel free to laugh at my stupidity) :mean:

A good strategy for Emerald is to not overload your party with materia. The damage inflicted by Emerald's Air Taur Stomp (Whatever its called) attack is determined by the number of materia on your characters (i.e. 9+ Materia = 9999 Damage). Use the Mime and KOTR combo well, and just heal when neccessary. Final Attack + Phoenix is helpful as well, and sometimes the damage done by Phoenix in the process can help against the four "jewels" on Emerald.

You can get Shadow Flare from the Ultima Weapon. The last time you fight him, as soon as you deal the finishing blow he'll use it before he dies.
