Well, for those of you who have been here long enough to know, it has been quite a long time since my last review, November 2002 to be exact.
Oh well, I decided to come back for more reviews. I picked the perfect game to make my come back.

Red Dead Revolver
I must say, I was a bit reluctant to rent the game when I first saw the commercial on TV. The game did not look like much fun to me. But this morning I said what the heck I'll go rent it. I've been playing for 4 hours straight now, my buddy came over and we have been dueling fo rabout an hour.

You start the game as Red, a young boy who hopes to be like his father. Anyways, the beginning of the game your(Red's) parents are murdered. There is a crucial part in the beginning but I will not say what it is in fear of ruining the story for those of you who have not had the chance to play.
Ok, so, the game then flashes you 10 to 15 years in the future with you(Red) in search for the man who killed his family.

So what we got here is a good 'ole fashion revenge game here. With an exceptionally large ammount of weaponry in the game, you will never find yourself bored with any thing in the game. The game's cut scenes are quite a site as well. Beauiful 3D textures, mixed with that old timey movie feeling sets RDR apart from other games. The Rockstar staff really put some thought into making this game. I personally would consider this one of Rockstar's top games.

So I've decided to bring back the reviews. But for those of you who don't want to read the review I've got the scoring system. I've decided to add a few more factors to my scoring method. Red scores are excellent, orange are good, and yellow scores are poor

The Scores are:

Graphics: 10
I really believed I was in an old timey movie theater watching a western.

Sound:5
Maybe it's my tv but I had trouble hearing some parts of the game. I thought it might have been part of making the old warn out feeling come out more.

Music score:10
Only one word can describe this, "Magnificent".

Story/Plot:6
The whole revenge thing has been done quite a bit has it not? I still enjoyed it though.

Controls:9
The controls get explained thoroughly in this game, and if you don;t understand a training session, then you can replay it as many times as needed. The dueling controls I feel are the most stand out part of the game. Rockstar obviously planned out exactly what they wanted, and did't rush.

Fun Factor:8
You can spend an afternoon enjoying the games multiplayer, or a few evenings playing through the story mode. Personally, the multiplayer is perfect for letting out unrelieved anger on someone your mad at.

Overall: 8 out of 10 Solid: Snake Stars goes to Red Dead Revolver. It is a quite enjoyable game for anyone who is a fan of westerns, or just want something to shoot at. I have been totally blown away by all the elements that makes this game what it is, and I hope you do to.

Nice review Snake. Very well thought out . And I dont agree about alot of the indevidual scores..but overall I would have given it a 7.5...so i generally agree with your over all score. It was a descent game

My biggest probalem were the little "Rockstar" Touches. I dont remember any insane clown possey gangs in the old west style movies. So why put them in this game ? Soo..stupid...soo very very stupid

Thank you vicious. I too didn't understand the clowns, I played through the game again thinking I had missed something about them, but I hadn't.

edit for the review:
I made the mistake with typing the wrong type of you are and put your I should have put you're.
