"Gamers will hunt down their prey in an urban killing zone as they take on the legendary role of the lethal Predator within this 3rd person action extravaganza. The intergalactic hunter has its sights set on Earth in this new console game. In Predator™: Concrete Jungle, the gripping tale of the fearsome alien’s history on Earth unfolds between two separate time periods, first the 1930s and then in the 2030s, as the Predator embarks on a mission of revenge upon an organized crime empire and its leader who seek to conquer all Predators. Taking inspiration from the popular film franchise, the game allows players to roam a vast city landscape stalking human prey while armed to the teeth with hunt-adapted vision modes, cloaking technology, and extraterrestrial weapons of annihilation. Predator: Concrete Jungle will be available in the fourth quarter 2004 for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system."

"Concrete Jungle is built around a generational saga, at least for the Predator's victims. The player, as the Predator, hunts the members of a Mafia family in 1930 and 2030, while exploring expansive, free-roaming urban environments. Vivendi promises cities with realistic weather and day-night cycles, as well as many interactive environmental features.

The game offers the player the chance to use four different vision modes ("Thermal Vision, Prey Vision, Tech Vision and Neural Scan") and the usual arsenal of close combat and ranged weapons, while staying out of sight using optical camouflage. It's a third-person action game, presenting a different perspective from the Predator missions in the PC Aliens Vs. Predator games.
In an odd twist on the film franchises, Concrete Jungle will also tangentially tie in with the backstory of the Alien films, exploring the origins of the Weyland-Yutani corporation that would eventually become a world power circa Aliens. Given that the upcoming Aliens Vs. Predator film plans to tie the two series' stories together anyway, though (to say nothing of their myriad comicbook crossovers), it's not the strangest choice of scenario."
