Though the presentation is a few weeks old, I'd not seen a video for Epic Game's 3rd Generation Unreal Engine. This accurately shows of the capabilities of Nvidia's upcomming NV40 chipset (to be seen in the GeForce 6800, released later this year), but also hints that they intend even more outstanding graphics than what is shown.

The video isn't top quality. I personally think the colours are way off, but you get a decent sense of the lighting, detail and realism going into those shots. Environments contain a reported 10 times more polygons than the (already pretty detailed) environments of Unreal Tournament 2004 (a 2nd Generation Unreal Engine Game). The character models contain as many polygons as a single level from Unreal 1 did (and Unreal 1 levels were very big even by modern standards).

Don't worry though. Not a single card on the PC market can run this game satisfactorily yet: but with a projected release of 2006 / 2007, anyone on a 3 year old graphics card doesn't really have an excuse.
