First of all, I am having one hell of a time trying to connect to online games w/ my current cable set-up. I always get a DNAS error (-612) when I try to connect to SSX3, even though with the NA Start-Up Disk it says I am network ready but my registration data could not be processed to SCEA.

This is my broadband set-up: I have a cable modem hooked up to a Siemens 2604 4-Port DSL/Cable Router, and a Siemens Powerline Ethernet Adapter occupies one of the ports which sends a semi-wireless cable signal through our wall socket circuitry. I then have another ethernet adapter (same model) in my room hooked up to my PS2. Note: It's not an issue w/ signal strength, the signal's very strong.

I hope someone can help me, I've contacted SCEA and my cable provider numerous times since Christmas Day and none of them could help solve the DNAS problem I keep getting, and I'm ready to give up. I can't stand using AOL dial-up to play online due to the damn lag. Ask away if that'll help you to help me amend this problem. Thanks.

I have a DSL modem at my house and have never had a problem with DNAS. However, I tried playing Socom II at my Dad's house (he has cable) and I am getting the same message. It says my connection is fine but for whatever reason I just can't play.

I was about to post something like this until I saw the thread. I have found some links that might help you. I guess there is a problem with wireless routers and DNAS. I have no clue what mine is... Anyway here are the links:
