Shenmue 3 is coming out for sure. There's no offical announcement but Shin Ishikawa of AMD2 said the series continues because of fan requests and that we should look forward for new games on the Xbox. I would buy a Xbox for Shenmue 3 because that is how much of a Shenmue junkie that I am. :P

There are even screens:

Screen numero uno (http://www.sygrove.fsnet.co.uk/shenmuecenter/shenmue3.jpg)
Dos (http://www.sygrove.fsnet.co.uk/shenmuecenter/shenmue3i4.jpg)
Y Tres (http://www.sygrove.fsnet.co.uk/shenmuecenter/shenmue3b6.jpg)

The series probably wont stop with shenmue 3 because Shin Ishikawa drew out a story timeline that suggests that the series will surpass only 3 games.

This guy has awful handwriting. (http://www.planetxbox.com/shenmuedojo/images/shenmue3/preview/showImg2.gif)

And just for some interesting info, on Shenmue 2 for xbox, you can find some loading screens for locations not even in the game. They possibly took out a chapter that they didnt include in Shenmue 2x for whatever reason.

Thats good news. I was a huge Shenmue fan. Not as much now though. I just couldnt find the time or the patience to beat Shenmue 2. It was a fantastic game.

But a man can only take so much, playing some little plinko game to make a few bucks, running around on foot for ages trying to find people to talk to, reading tons, and tons, of text, and then going to sleep. I need some action..and sadly the shenmue games lack a sufficiant amount of real time battles. If they added that, this series would be ten out of ten quality and a definate must buy.

Even without that game it is pretty damn good. Also, Id like to see a better variaty of jobs to take up. I enjoyed the fork lift job in the first Shenmue. A whole lot more than just picking up the boxes with a partner and moving them 20 feet by hand. That got old after a while. And by "a while" I mean right away.

It baffles me as to why they didnt intigrate the real time battles more. Those were by far the best parts of the game, and they just looked so nicely choriagraphed and cinimatic, it really added to the movie like quality that I like about the game.

I didnt find Shenmue that boring... maybe because I'm the type of person that likes to wander around in games, look at the scenery, and talk to everyone. In RPGs I spend like a hour in a town because I talk to every villager and go in every house. :ghost:

And yea, the jobs in shenmue 2 were boring as hell, which is why I turned to gambling. My mostly played games were "Roll on top" and "Big & Small". I earned $8,000, no problem by betting in big & small. I just resetted the game when I was down by a lot. :disturb:

You should really finish the game because the 4th disc is basically nothing but fighting(well, if you played the DC version, Xbox version only has 1 disc).

But yea, I also wish they had more jobs and a larger arcade (even though the 3rd floor fighting was fun ^_^). HOpefully in shenmue 3 they'll keep the gambling.

And those screens aren't from shenmue 3 but beta pics of Shenmue II. But obviously these are from locations later on in the game. It looks like further in bailu village...
