So what do you guys think? I think they are very very beautiful, but there for sure is room for improvment. But I shouldn't complain. This has been one of the best day for me in years!!!

Well, MGS2 was more or less MGS's story :P

You can bet I'll buy it. This is was the GC deserves, a great exclusive, Expect GC's sales to go up. I bet some of you are actually saving up for a GC now :P

Hopefully the game will not be an exact clone of MGS, hopefully some new areas or something would be included.

It's quite a step up in terms or graphics. MGS had characters with shaded areas for eyes and block like heads which nodded when they talked. Now they have eyes that move, mouth movement, frowing etc. :)

All this makes me wonder....if the briefing in this game will be exactly the way it was in PSone or would it be with a movie. I would love it with a movie though. And I cant wait to see Meryl......

Hope twin snakes is not like the PSone release in terms of lengitivity. I played through the PSone version so many times now, but see...im like so into metal gear, im a big fan even i dont show it with my pictures and avatars but im like the extreme Final Fantasy and Metal Gear fan. I mean i love them both a lot.
If the GC release of Metal Gear is just as long as the PSone, then i guess ill be one of the first ones to beat that game. But i know it wont be like that, after reading a bit of it, i know that the creators of this game are going to make the game a lot tougher and thanks to its level of graphics, i know i'm in for a good game.
I think they made the game to improve over what the first MGS had wrong. Like the graphics are now new generation, you can probably walk with your gun plus shoot. Hope its a good game.
I'm also up for MGS3! woa cant wait.

WoW! alot more clearer and lighter, TTW looks pretty damn goood from the screen shots they have put out, I hope they put a demo out before the release like with MGS.

You know the first side by side pic, Snake in the pool area, I actually think the PS screen looks better. Looks like it has a better enviroment, the GC looks too damn bright and clean, hope they darken the levels up a little bit. But obviously the GC screens are better, very very detailed, but the PS arent all that bad really they not too terrible even for todays graphics.

I Wonder how good graphics will be in the next 5 years...

Though im happy to hear about this new MGS game (as i love them) i cant believe its not coming out on ps2 (i think).

My one concern is that i read that it isnt just hideo making the game, its the nintendo guy as well. Does this mean it will be cartooney or childish. As everyone knows 90% of Nintendo games are babish. Not that that is a bad thing but it gets old and there is only so much u can take.

I am worried that it will ruin the reputation of the great game MGS1, the game is legend, will the legend be destroyed by this modern version?

Opps i think i just made a few enemies.... sorry, just what i think.

I dont think it will be childish, just MGS with better graphics and new gameplay (MGS2 style) Kojima WAS ASKED to do it on nintendo, so they are going to get other guys (ninty) involed. And shigsy's working on a MGS title, which to me as a fan, is a honour, what other titles would he help to offer?????????

Nice to see you back nanjij. Well Metal Gear Solid on GameCube will blow your mind when you will see it. And if you dont have a GameCube, I am pretty sure you will buy one. :) ..... Its coming out November, so you dont have to wait for it that long. And games like Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness are already on Nintendo GameCube and those games are not childish but very scary and very very mature. :)

Naah, I love this boxart. Wow it looks amazing and totally different then the last few ones. All MGS's boxarts have been of art Illustration type. This 3D polygon type looks cool and is something totally new. Making me more excited about the game.

Box art is okay, seeing it is on the gamecube, the graphics arnt much better than the ps1 version at some points.

Thanks for the shots Makg, some of them look great, noticeably the Meryl close up one and a few others, but they are still pretty mediocre in some parts, without much improvements. But it could improve up until the game comes out, so I won't be too mean :cool:
