I recently reinstalled half life (the original on my pc) and with it there is a program for designing ur own levels. The program is called "Worldcraft", the version i have is 2.0.

I started using a tutorial to get me started and i can make a room and hollow it out. the guide then says about puttin in a player start. It tells u to click on the entities tool and select the player start option. But when i do this i dont get any options, there isnt anythin there.

Does anybody know why this is or how i cud fix this? any help much appreciated.

Thanks

first stop is to update your version. Worldcraft isn't even called "Worldcraft" anymore, due to the ancient version on the HL CD - its called "Hammer". Using an older version may even make it incompatabile with the latest versions of Half-Life, or whatever you're trying to map for.

> Go to: http://www.planethalflife.com/half-life/files/ , and scroll down to "Valve Hammer Editor v3.4". or just search for Valve Hammer Editor if you have somthing against fileplanet...

As for your entity problem, I once also attempted to mess around with Half-Life mapping, only to give up (on its plus side though, theres no annoying Static Meshes aka. Unreal Warfare *shudders*). I know i got player starts to work (i ran around my map...), but its been so long that i haven't the faintest idea how... I don't even remember what "Worldcraft" looks like!

if you manage to come up with anything, be sure to tell us! I'm in a half-life mood at the moment ^_^
