Strider 3D?

This thread is sort of an off branch of synicalgohan91's "games that should stay 2d". I was wondering if any of you were fans of the Strider games by capcom? My real question is do you think that a 3D version of that game would be possible or would it just not work?:peoples: Personally I could go either way. The 2D games were so kick ass but I think a 3D game might be cool.

If they ever did make a 3-d Strider game, it would just be a carbon copy of Shinobi for the PS2, or Devil May Cry, so if Capcom ever does decide to bring the Strider Series to the PS2 or Gamecube, it should stick with its 2-D roots, but if Strider IS released on a next gen system, it'll most likely be a 3-D one.
