Well today i got Def jam vendetta not knowing what to expect. Except rapper's and alot of trash talking. Which DJV does just that and so much more! The idea of rapper's being in a game will be a turn off for most gamer's. But that isnt a bad thing when you think about it. Say you hate DMX and you set up a 1 on 1 match with whatever character you choose and DMX. You get the joy out of beating him senseless anyway you choose!
This game play's like the no mercy and wrestlemania 2000 game's (since it's made by the same people who did the other two). The only diffrence is you have a health bar in this one. Health bar pretty much measure's how tired you are. Plus if you have a high health meter you obviously wont be pinned down. But when your health meter get's into danger mode you better start worrying. But some of your health refill's in the match. Just dont lose it so quickly. Then there is your momenton gauge. Kinda like NBA street's gamebreaker gauge. When you get it full it start's going out of controll. When you actitavate it you are offically in blazeing mode. (just press the C stick or analog stick on your ps2 or GC to actaivate it. Just like in no mercy)
When your in blazeing mode your pretty much unstopable. Your faster, stronger, better just one big bad ass killing machine. Plus you do more damage when your in blazeing mode. Say the guy isnt in danger mode for you to knock him out. Just do a few move's to get him down to it which will be like 2X damage then normal. Then to do your special you grapple them then flicking your c stick or analog button to start it. Each character has a front and back one.
Now for the character's. There are plenty of rapper's off the def jam label.
redman, method man, ludacris, capone, ghostface killah just to name a few.
Then you have your genaric character's which are just made up brawler's. Some of them are pretty cool some are just big time wussie's with a huge ego.
The story mode is good also even if it is on the short side. Most wrestleing vet's could beat it in like say.....4 hour's or more. In story mode you get cash of course. To either alter your stat's or buy picture's of the hot babe's in the game. It's not too bad.....good enough for a rap video to say the least:laugh:
Oh and if you want to earn extra cash other then story mode. Play survival mode and just slay your enemies there. At the end you will be one rich son of a gun. I give this game a 9/10. The no create a brawler mode got me down. Which made me duduct one point from it:laugh:
One more thing. There is a character from nba street in this game. He is easy to point out when somebody play's this game try to guess who he is;)
