Can Opener
by

Cans of ripe peaches, soft and syrupy
Cans of plump tomatoes, red with plushness
Cans of lustful fruits for the tongue...

All these cans lay about with holes gaping
Yet nothing from inside escaping
No barrier left to protect what was within
Like legs
Now opened
By the Rending, Tearing of the metal...
And what kind of teeth could commit this sin...
And what kind of teeth could commit this kind of sin...

"With what Red Heresy have this deed you wrought?
Applying innuendo to everything in reply to what you've sought
And seemingly to everywhere it belongs not"

Upon the opening of things, to cherish the beauty and what could flourish within
To not spoil what could flourish and not make it become her burden

And yet you turn the key of the teeth that could commit this sin...
And you turn the key of the teeth that could commit this kind of sin...
Rinse, Repeat you say
Everyday

_RED_ stuff

(none are innocent)

As dark and scary as it is, I like this one the most! I like how it eludes to the true nature of the words; great analogy!
