New Logo for Konami

Most of you would already know but...Konami's head office has just announced, that with beginning of the next fiscal year (that's April 1 for those not in the known), they're replacing with the classic "bow-tie" logo they've been using for the last seventeen years with a simpler all text logo.

So what do you guys think of it?. Like it or hate it or Love it.?.
In my opinion I really liked the previous one, as this one is not extra-ordinary.. but still oh well.

It looks like NAMCO's logo. I really liked the last one much better.

Oh what were they thinking? :disturb: Well, I'm not sure what compelled them to change their logo now, but I'm not too crazy about this new one. Sure, it's simple and bold, but the old logo was unique and familiar. :)

There will be two new logos everywhere now. One would be the Marketing Logo and one would be the Corporate Logo.

Saw their the logo on IGN, so crap, their old one was the BEST!


That new logo is just a rip-off from CANNON that photo company, im suprised that they could get taken to court.

Ahemm... the logos are kinda plain ( I think mark0 expressed the same idea with more effective words :laugh: ). I even find it hard to consider the first one you posted (the one with only "Konami" written with a very basic font on a blank background) as a real logo... But ok, it's their choice. They probably prefer something really "essential" and clear.

I thought that on the games it would have the plain one. I think the marketting logo is alright. Do you think that this would make their games with the original logo even rarer(is that a word?) over time?
