Ahhhh! What a GREAT thread! I could go on FOREVER about so many things that irritate the $hit out of me.....but, I'll just name a few:
I HATE, absolutely HATE, it when there's a couple and they go out for dinner. This is the basic conversation (for real, this REALLY happens)
Guy- "What do you want to eat here?"
Girl- "Huh? Oh....I'm not hungry."
Guy- "Oh! Uh....you sure?"
Girl- "Oh yeah! Go ahead and order whatever you want."

Finally, when the food gets there, and the guy is scarfing it down, the girl looks at the food, then starts PICKING and EATING at it in teeny, little bites. GOD!! Why don't you just ORDER something, you half-baked, anorexic?!!! And, this happens A LOT! Especially Asian girls! OMIGOD! I'm Asian, and I don't act ANYTHING like that! They want to be thin, yet they want to eat, but yet, if they eat, they'll get fat! Oh no! What to do?! Gimme a break! :frust: :frust: :frust:
I also hate it when girls use guys to buy them dinner or items or anything! It's like, why don't you get a job, then you can buy that $40,000 item yourself? This also happens a lot with Asian girls. its just weird!! and its not just asian girls either. i see lots of chicks doin it. my friends ex used to do it, and me and my friends used to think it was sooo weird! we would laugh about it every once in a while too.

That reminds me of a really cool elevator game I like to play when I'm at the mall in a big city or something.

You wait in an elevator until someone comes on alone. While there in there, you just stare at them the entire way up. Don't move, smile, blink, cough, sniffle, just sdtare at that person the entire time they're in the elevator with you.

It really freaks them out. Then right before the elavator opens at their floor, take a melted M&M that you had in your hand the entire time and press it againsed their face.

It really scares people and gives them the creeps. It's fun to watch that person walk the stairs aftyerwards, avoiding the elevator the rest of the day. And it's best to stay in the Elavator for a hour or two, until a security guard asks you to get out of the elevator.

Great way to pass the time.

Hmmm....I guess you're right. I know not all Asian girls are annoying, but since I'm Asian myself, I know what they're thinking or how they act, and if they're doing it on purpose or not. But, I don't know if you get my point about the voice thing. See, I'll give you an example: My parents workplace, there's a lot of Asians that come in. Now, everyone is around 20-30 years old, 'cause I live in a college town, so there's a lot of students. A lot of these girls LOVE talking to my mom, 'cause my mom is all girly and junk, and these Asian girls could talk about their latest boyfriends to her, etc. (How annoying). I go to my parent's workplace to help out and these girls ABSOLUTELY HATE me. No joke. The only reason why they dislike me so much is because I don't act anything like them (like wearing skirts, or talking in high voices, or being all dainty and $hit). When they talk to my mom, their voices are SO high, it's UNBELIEVABLE! Then, when they talk to me, it's completely DIFFERENT! It's a low and NORMAL voice. That's what pisses me off, because they are FAKING their voices only to sound CUTE and GIRLY and all that crap. When they talk to someone they don't like, (me) they can talk like any other normal human being on earth. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't like people who FAKE everything, their personalities and voices. For real, I could go on and on, but I don't think anyone will understand me. That's okay though, 'cause we all have different views and points, so I'm alright! :)

My school has a lot of Koreans and a few Vietnamese, Thailands, and Cambodians. There are only a few Chinese, but so far, I am the ONLY Taiwanese. Isn't the mocking thing irksome? I hate it when that happens. I also hate it when people create silly and offensive rumors about people. I remember this one girl, who calls everyone a slut, regardless of what they wear. She even called my drawings slutty! I was so pissed. But, what she did that was so horrible, was, this one girl wore this dress that had straps that were 1 inch wide for the shoulders. The b***** girl complimented her dress, but later in the day, a rumor was going around that the girl is a slut and prostitute, that's why she wears that dress. The girl started crying in class, and I was just so MAD! I hope she burns in hell. We were only in 6th grade too.

Um....obviously you don't know me. I could win first prize for the least amount of attention. I am VERY quiet at school; my personality there is different from when I am at home, because all the people at my school are annoying freaks, so I don't talk to ANYONE. I know, I know, I sound like a hypocrite because I said that I don't like people who fake their personalities, but I'm not faking. I just act nice and quiet, so I won't get beaten up or messed with. And, my face doesn't look very friendly, so I just want to be nice to everyone so they won't think I'm a bad person. If I act like myself for real, I'll be laughed at, because I'm considered a dork at school anyway. And it's been workin' really well because everyone leaves me alone, except for a few bastards. Yeah! I'm glad someone's like me! :) I'm more of a "home" person, I'm close to my sister, so I'm more comfortable around my family. But, when I talk to teachers, students, anyone, I completely hush up and I'm super-shy. For real, I am VERY shy. I don't know how to talk to people, so I try to seclude myself as much as possible. I don't think violence is a good way to solve problems, but being always quiet is not good as well. Trying to look indifferent and go mad when you're alone is very bad.
So, sometimes is better to let others know what you think and be satisfied for letting them know. It's a lot better than complaining with yourself for your way of acting and their behaviour and feeling bad later :p

You're so cool! :) I mean....you are able to speak out and kill off people you don't like...for me...I cannot do that. I don't know how to talk back to people, I have no friends so I have no "allies", so basically I keep all my feelings to myself, until I get home, then I spill it all out to my sister. She understands me very well. It's painful though, 'cause sometimes, I really want to thrash and cuss
out all those people, but I can't. I don't know why, I just can't.

Relationships are always complicated, especially when you feel others are not the kind of persons you'd like to have as friends and so on.
I've always had lots of troubles because I really like few persons and it's evident. People are always asking me "Why don't you like me?" or "Why do you hate me so much?" while I'm simply ignoring them. It depends on personality and yes, some superficial persons have not difficulties to have good relationships with others.
I don't have many friends too, because I've always noticed that the people I knew were kinda silly and didn't understand my way of acting. They only liked to go out and spend the day chatting about sports and opposite sex And they're often rude to each other without noticing :P
Maybe I'm asking too much to others, but frankly I don't feel I need those typologies of friends.

I find it hard to make friends. I never really had any good friends even when I was in elementary school. They were always talking about me behind my back, using me, and all that. Of course, when I was a kid, I had more temper and I was all loud and crap. But, when I entered sixth grade, it was a horrible year for me and everyone is talking about me and saying about my dropping grades and crap. Then, I moved to this horrible town I'm living in now and everyone is soooo small town people! I came from the suburbs, so where I used to live is NOTHING like this! Everyone here is just so....small town. I can't emphasize that enough. That's why I can't get along with anyone here. They have nothing in common with me, they guys don't talk to me 'cause girls don't play games, they're supposed to be pretty and stuff, all the girls are always so competive with each other, they wear the same clothes from the same stores because my town is SO TINY....and they still ask, "Wow! What a cool shirt! Where'd you get it?" I'm thinking...IT'S FROM THE SAME STORE AS THE SHIRT YOU'RE WEARING!!!! :mad: Ugh! If someone was going to be my "friend" they only use me to talk about they're petty problems. This girl I sometimes talk to always complains to me about her goddamn life and it's not THAT BAD! This is her basic conversation:
"I'm so tired...no one listens to my problems. I went to my church to talk to them, but they're always saying they're too busy for me. I don't have a job right now, but I'm soooo busy! I have to go to church, I have to take violin lessons, and I have to do my homework....blah, blah, blah..." I'm just like...SHUT UP! But, of course, I'm supposed to be the "understanding friend". Ooh! And what annoys me about her is the fact she says she hates it when her friends at her lunch table always bother her and talk and laugh when she's trying to do her homework. Okay...well, everyday I see her, she NEVER does her homework and she laughs and talks along with them! What the hell?!!

Not original to say, but basically everyone is selfish and wants only to talk about his problem. So, when you talk to them, they seem to be very understanding and all, but they're looking for a moment to reply telling you how much troubles they have in their lives. :sarcasm:
Only few people are also interested in listening and giving advice without expecting you to do the same thing.
Sad, but true.
That's why everyone seems to feel so alone and there are lots of persons who are depressed and stuff. They obviously don't like to talk about their problems, because they feel nobody's really interested. Then, telling the truth, even if someone shows a bit of interest for others problems, the only thing he can do is being worried for 5 mins and then go on with life. I don't think there's someone who really understands what another person is saying.

I dont kow about some of you people but when I get picked on at school fighting is the only solution for me. This kid called me a Neo Nazi one time and it was early in the morining at school and Im grumpy in the morning. When he called me that I went into a rage I punched him then he threw me across the room and I hit my forehead on the desk. There was blood all over the class. It was a blood bath. We both got suspended for 10 days and I got 17 stiches.

Omigod....see....that's why I don't want to get into any fights! And almost every girl in my school knows how to fight or is bluffing, but whatever. There's a lot of girls who are white but act black or they're mixed. There's a lot of blacks at my school too and at every waking opportunity, they always want to fight about something. There are also some Thailands, Vietnamese, and Koreans who try to act black....oh man....it's really scary and a bit annoying too. *Sigh* But, yeah.....I like to listen to other's problems but it's not always the same way with me. However, Fortune, my sister understands me very well, so I complain a lot to her, but if she's annoyed with me...she's doing a good job keeping it in! But she knew how hard it was for me to move to this boring-ass town (I hate change) so she allows me to complain and crap. I'm really thankful to her too, 'cause I always feel better after letting out all the anger and annoyances I encounter throughout the day. And, if you have no one to talk to at school....it's a really LONG day. Things are a little better for me now, but I remember when I move to my town....everyday was hell and I remember sometimes I would yell at my family because I was frustrated with the school or the town. And sometimes, I would cry too.....I'm a very pathetic person...

merylsilverburg seems like you have have low self a steam. Try raising your self a steam by running or hitting a punching bag, let your fustration out on a pillow or something. Working out at a gym will also improve your self a steam. You'll feel better about your self. :)

Chicks just have a thing with make-up. And what you said, Fortune, about the girls looking very different with or without make-up...it's true. Only sometimes, they look okay, but I know this girl who was absolutely hideous! She came in one day looking like she ran off to join the circus. Can't express it, wouldn't want to scare the hell outta ya guys. I have to admit though....I am into the cosmetic thing a little, mainly because of the influence of those Japanese girl fashion mags. Hey, well, I don't see the point. First of all, I dress like a guy anyway, so if I wear make-up....wouldn't that clash like hell? Also, I'm boring, plain, and ugly, so I shouldn't try. Well, I really hate it when people try to invade my personal space. Has that ever happened to you guys? For me, there's this girl who's a sophmore, and because she's a sophmore, she thinks I'm really cool 'cause I'm a junior, so she tries so hard to impress me, but instead, she's INVADING MY SPACE! I only see her at lunch and everytime I try to do my homework, she's all like, "Is that for a class?" "Is it hard?" After I answer her, she ALWAYS moves closer to me to watch me do my work! Let's say she so close, I could hardly breathe. Then, she would pick up my eraser or my pencil and say, "Oh, this is cool. Where'd you get it?" She asks too many questions and she always moves too CLOSE!!! Finally, I got so pissed, that when she did that, I said, "Look, I'm trying to study, do you mind?" And now......I....HAVE....PEACE!!!!!! :) :) :) She did that for 3 months! :mad:

(This is an old thread but I just started visiting the forums of this site, so bear with me)

The PS2 was the most awaited console. It had alot of hype, yes, but mostly it was because people were actually waiting around for it. For the Xbox there were fewer people waiting around but there was a whole bunch more hype. Tv commercials and such, I mean. Since the whole Xbox thing started I haven't been able to watch network television 1 full day without seeing that freaking green X open up in the middle of a black screen; whereas Playstation 2 ads are suprisingly rare. At least in the networks I watch.

In my own humble opinion, the Xbox is a fad. Sure, it's got more raw power than the PS2 but power isn't everything. Gameplay is much more important than the pretty pictures. (save to the kinds of people I like to call 'graphics *****s', but I'm not going to call them that on these forums because I don't really want to offend anyone). The marketing campaign and the box itself is all but entirely geared to appeal to the kind of american pop-culture that led to the success of canned music artists, teen movies, and FUBU. (No, I am not racist, btw.)

(afterthought: ..what's that one Stargate SG1 episode where there was gonna be a TV spoof of the actual SGC called "World Explorers X" or something? Alot of you probably don't know what I'm talking about, but somewhere in that episode, the actual SG1 members were asking why there was an X after the title, some corperate yes man piped up with "statistics show that shows with X in the title get better ratings!")

Hopefully time will tell that the PS2 will dominate, but with Bill Gates' practically unlimited rescources he might fund this little project until an Xbox 4 would come out.

All I can say is that I hope no (other.. Metal Gear Solid has already fallen, making a 'metal gear X'.. guh..) companies that have launched the truly successful titles of the PS2 migrate or copy thier games over to the box. Besides maybe GTA3. You can't blame Rockstar since they were bought out by Microsoft.. they were, right? Or am I just misinformed?

Okay.. I think that's all the ranting I can think of for that at the moment.. now for the Mac.. *taking in a deep breath* ..just kidding. :cool: I'll take the synicism and buff it up so it seems less bitter before I come back.

BTW, what really annoys me is pointless flames. Not too common here so far as I can see but go somewhere like Neoseeker sometime. That and somebody constantly trying to talk over you, derailing your train of thought so you end up sounding like an @$$ when you get them to shut thier mouths.
