A Nightmare on Elm Street

Hey,

I just recently got round to picking up the Nightmare on Elm Street DVD Boxset (I-V). The first one is a classic, and from what I recall, the third was really good too. However, it has been a few years since I have seen any of them.

What I want to know is, does anyone here know (or know of a place for info) the history of Fred Krueger? I can recall various bits of info but not much. If anyone knows a detailed history of Mr. Krueger I would be eternally grateful!

I'm interested in a kind of time-line type thing for Krueger. I remember that at some point his mother was raped in an Asylum and he was the product of that. I also recall that at some point he started to work in a boiler room, built the glove and started to murder children. Then obviously he was 'killed' by the lynch mob...

I'm really hazy on details though, and when things happened... How old was he when he built the glove? How old when he was killed? What happened to his mother after his birth? Maybe I'll take notes as I watch them all again - and produce the definite Freddy time-line!

Well yeah some of those details were nowhere to be found in the series but you could probably make some pretty good guesses.

1.I image that he was late 20's or early 30's when he built the glove plus krueger was married too even though i don't know why they didnt indulge the point more heavly.I can only make the guess because i image that he was the same age as nancy's (the women in the first movie) parents mainly because they took place in his murder.

2.About his mother after birth.Her detail of very very hard to find.We all knew she was dead in the third movie and probably before the first.I imagine she killed herself from the embarresment and haunting images of the rape.How old she was is kinda unknown.I would say late 30's to early 40's because of her age displayed in the 3rd movie.

Well i hope this helps its pure guess on what i've seen from the movies but its my best explanation.

Freddy's Dead the Final Nightmare. will probably have alot of the info your looking for..the new film Freddy vs. Jason is going to have even more details, although it's going to reveal the details surronding the Jason Vorhees character a bit more.. Also good luck on the timeline there's been alot of directors throughout the Nightmare series all of them seem to have they're own idea of freddy. They all stuck with certain parts of his origin and apperance though.. i think only Wes Craven has all the true anserws.
Also there are rumors of another nightmare film that is going to be made depicting Fred Kruger as a man before he was killed.
