Projector & Guns?

Hi, I have the following equipment setup:


Cineza VPL- HSI Projector
PS2
Two G-com Light Guns
P J Mulit box that allows video, DVD and playstation to connect to Projector
Denon Amp that all video and audio connections plug into (the nerve centre).

I have a big problem though. I can't get the guns to work on any of the games using the projector. Sony tell me that the guns require pixels off the tv to work???

Is there anyway of getting around this, surely???

Light Guns will not work with Projector screens, some wide-screen TV's and most 100hz TVs. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

I could bore you with a technical explaination - but I won't.

Please do! D'oh! I did have a hyperlink saved to a web-page explaining why - but I've lost it. What I remember is it's something to do with light reflection and reading the pixels from the laser bounce.

I have had lots of problems with my GCon2 when the sun catches my TV, hence the light is not reflecting properly.
