Here's one of those non-contemporary culture topics I like.. ^_^

1. Doctor Zhivago (1965)
Starring Omar ---

2. Rebecca (1945)
Starring Joan Fontaine.
Albert Hitch**** directed.

3. Overboard (1983?)
Starring Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn

I'm sure there's more.. lemme go fishing..

The greatest part of the movies I love are made before 1990, so I couldn't name few of them, really.

i'm gonna pick: star wars episode 5 (the empire strikes back), Monty Python and the Holy Grail and possibly Lawrence of Arabia (if it wasn't so damned long and dragging in places ^_^) - but there is a whole load of movies i've always wanted to watch from this era, that i've never seen :(

and noki, its "Omar Sharif" if i remember rightly.

I dont know if many people would agree with me or not, but movies made in the 60s and 70s were truly about "Direction" "Style" "True Art". It was bout true movie making. Even if I dont know movies from that era, If one is coming on TV, I try to watch it, as it really blows ma mind.

I love "Night of the Living Dead" and "Guide".

In the 80s I love Terminator and "Escape From New York" (Personal Fav)

That's a good question, 007... hmm, I take a film study class, so I see a lotta good black and white movies. I'm partial to Full Metal Jacket which is the best war movie, in my opinion. I think it was made in the late '80s. I really haven't seen a lot of old "classics"... I should really watch some more.

Right now i'm watching Some Like It Hot in film study, good movie!

If you like "Some Like it Hot" be sure and check out "The Great Race". This also starred Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. One of my all time favorites, i originally saw it in 69 in the theater. I remember the magic i experienced that night, and it brings back great feelings, and memories... I loved Easy Rider, oh crap the list is too long. But thats a start......

Just saw Clockwork Orange myself for the first time. what a great movie! Was I supposed to be laughing as much as I did, though? I know it was satirical, but it just made me feel extra evil is all. Not that I wasn't already, but seriously was I really supposed to laughthat much?? Eh...I'm only slightly worried.

My answer to the original question of favorite movie made prior to the 90's would have to be Scarface! Which is probably why i was thrilled with the inclusion of a chainsaw in GTAVC...
