im going to buy a PS2 from the UK very shortly. I will be getting the new MagicPro mod chip for it. The reason for all this is i am hoping to import Final Fantasy 11 from america when it is released in Febuary. However to play the game you need a modem and a HDD. Will i be able to import these from america and will they run on a UK PS2 as i cant see the UK releasing these untill ff11 is released over here. Also is broadband required to go online with the PS2 or can i use 56k?

Thanks

No, US games won't work on a UK PS2.
US PS2-NTSC
UK PS2-PAL
They're not compatible.
And no, broadband isn't required to go online, it's only necessary for certain games(like Socom).

not to mention with 56k users that sux is that you get a shortage of players on it with broadband you get more players to play against
