Are Sports Games Too Easy?

The only problem I have with sports games is that they're so easy to beat. The only one that I've ever lost a game in is Madden 2002, and that game is still easy. Especially Baseball games, they're a joke how easy they are.

I don't want them to be hard as Final Fantasy, but don't you think there should be difficulty settings on all of them?

Well I Think.......Sports Game Are Fun....And EVEN if They Are Easy To BEAT.......Thats Not The Main Point........The Main Point Of Any SPORT Game is Its Multi-Player Factor.....!......So Once Ure Done With The Game.......Keep Up The Challenge With Ure Friends And All!.!..........Cause That Makes The Game Never ENDING!.! :)

i agree that basketball games are too easy, but makgsnake's right alot of them are about multiplayer,what i like is beating yourself improving then being able to thrash freinds, and show off your skills.

I can see both of your points, but it seems kinda stupid to have single player for All Star Baseball 2002 because you always win 15-3.

Most of my friends are metalheads and don't like video games. That's why I need online gaming!

Online gaming would be cool for sports games, like basketball. you could set up leagues, you could have your own nba. the possibilities are endless.:D :D :D !!!

I Am Not Being Rude But U SERIOUSLY Have To Have Friends Who Are Into VideoGames. It Helps Alot Man!.. I Remember There Was A Time When I Didn't Have Friends Who Were In Games. IT KILLED ME.... So I SEARCHED And Looked For Them!.! Cause I Really BADLY Want To Discuss Games With PEOPLE!.! In Dubai Where I Come From I Had 2-3 REALLY Amazing VideoGame Friends!.! With Them I Played Multi-Player Games Soo MUCH ( And Had PSX Parties) :)

But All My Ex Girlfriends Never Liked VideoGames...So It Has Always Sucked!.! I Better Go Out With Someone Whos Into Games This Time Now!.! :p

well Makg, I'm in the same position you were! I talk video games with maybe 2 friends, but once we start, they just start talkin about other things. That's why I come onto ps2fantasy a lot! So I can finally talk to people who love games just as much as me.

Maybe when I go to college I'll find some new friends who like games :)

Sports games are way too easy. All you have to do is make a little strategy and the enemy AI won't pick up on it, especially football.

I also find racing ones the easiest even on the hardest difficulty levels.

Generally,racing games are harder than any other Sport game around and seem to be the most enjoyed.

But others seem to be easy cuz they really have no gameplay value attached.You just sit around and play a game for an hour and already your feeling like a pro.

Racing games like Cruisin USA are very very easy because like Gaseoussnake said, the gameplay sucks and all you do is win win win.
On the other hand, games like Gran Turismo are totally different. My brother's life is cars, and he's played GT1+2. He knows to to set gears differently and all that stuff, and it shows that you're better in the game if you know more about cars.

Mourdor has obviously not played SSSnake on Madden 2002 otherwise he wouldn't be too hot at the game. And like it was said before the main point is for multiplayer and they wont make a game that is just for multiplayer only.

I think multi play is the main thing to a sports game.I find playing against a computer more of practice than a challenge.And perpares you to play against your friend

Yeah i love the franchise on Madden.But the only thing that botheres me is why doesnt EA put a franchise in there baseball games

me 2 but when u play all star the team is harder for example i was playin nhl 2001 and i was winning 3-0 and shots r 10-2 then all of a sudden the other team scores it pisses me off so much cuz when i play season it totaly messes up my goalies save %
