So you dont become the person who taught you wrong? I dont get it. And what events plagued your life?

Alcoholism, no. Violence, maybe. I think scientists are trying to figure that one out.

I believe that just about every aspect of ones personality is learned. There is a genetic defect, like the wrong number of chromosomes, which will cause people to become very aggressive, or testosterone levels, or in my case, Attention Defisit dissorder, making it hard forme to consentrate and always real wild and wierd, not being able to sit still. But other than the few exceptions, i believe that we all have the choise to be who we want to be, and all we do and know is learned.

And to what Asylum Escapee said. If you'd really like to know what 007 is talking about, with the last year, most of it has been poseted in the Expressing yourself thread. But on friday night, or saturday morning, we're no really sure, 007 had his car broken into, and some stuff was taken, but other than that, he had a lot of really bad sh*t happen to him over the last year.

And to what 007 said about him being optomistic, you are very much so. I have never met anyone who copuld go through as much crap as you did and act as if nothing happened. Still smiling and laughing. Making a joke about everything that hapens to you. That's really cool. The first thing you said after your cd's were stolen was, "Well, i didn't like those cd's too much anyway." You still found a way to laugh about it. Like, i thought i was like that, but nothing like what's happened to you has ever happened to me. So I have no idea how you are soooo optimistic.

So i can really see how your family and people who you are around a lot will make you not want to grow up or follow in others footsteps. And you seem to do an excelent job at it. So after being around you for so long, i know that nothing is learned through heredity, and that we are all who we decide to be, and we ourselfs make the choice of who we become in life, and how we react in our daily lives.

Yes. Believe it or not, we ourselves have control over the decisions we make, unless of course, you're psychotic or something. *shrugs*

However, when you were raised with violent progenitors, violence may come somewhat more natural to you. Still you have the choice to decide whether or not you wish to be violent as they may have been. All in all, I completely believe that you truly have the last word. Whatever you decide to do really does depend on you.

JB : What can I say ? Being optimistic when amidst hard times, is something that is really hard to do, yet it is also a wonderful thing. Personally, I'm way more pessimistic than optimistic. Smiling and laughing after you have just gone though something hard, to me, seems like something that is very hard to do. I can asure you that things, eventually, do get better. You just gotta hang in there :) .

I think the family or the relationshps with people and setting have a great importance. Some aspects of a personality are inherited too, but the greatest part of your characteristic are learned and accumulated during your life.

I can symithise with 007 a lot on this subject. My childhood wasa living hell, my father was a terrible alcoholic and mede my life a scary place to be in. But for wht 007's been going through recently, his life is a lot worse, but anyone can keep their heads up high, just a matter of will power. And 007 and i have a lot of it, for we are always smiling, and laughing, no matter what happens to us.
