I'm trying to turn the cloudy mirror into the celestial mirror. I went to the macalania woods and reunited the family. but when I went up the strange road the traveller was still blocking my path. does anyone know what to do?

Ack... it's been a while. If my memory serves me correctly, you have to go speak with the parents once more and then they will go look for their son or somEthing. After they do so, you return back to the shiny ball thing and the traveler should have moved. Yeah... I think that's how.
