When I first got this title I was a lil overwhelmed with the massive world...and when I say massive I mean HUGE...I have to hang the map of the world on my wall and periodically check it to make sure I don't get my a$$ lost...and the non-linear, do whatever you want whenever you want spectrum kinda threw me off cause I'm an intense RPGer who's normally always told where to go and when to do it. But when you get used to it, and you start to take on quests (which by the way the game offers over 200 quests from various people) the game started to pick up...and now I'm so hooked to it, you can basically interact with everything...do anything...and well...kill anything. YOu can play for months without even touching the main story. If you have this title comment here, or ask questions...whatever you do with this thread is fine with me...I just want to let you future xbox owners know that this is the game to pick up!

This game has me very interested. But tell me, is it all in first person view? Or do you get to see your character.

I am about to go pick up this game as I have heard tons of good things about it. Go to any xbox site and there are bound to be people posting stories about things they have done in the game. One of my favorites was JJax from xboxaddict.com's story about finding some rare armor in a store. He didn't have near enough money for it, so he grabbed it and ran. He then found a basement and hid all of his equipment in a barrell, turned himself in to the police people, and after he got out of jail he went back to the barrell and recovered all his stuff :)

Oh I've got stories all right...I was walkin to a city that I had been travellin for a good 15 minutes to get to...cause I figure if I walk I'll be able to gain points for it...and some chick in distress runs out and asks me to escort her to these holy fields because she's on a pilgrimage...so I figure why not...I need to do some quests, so I check my map, the damn place is like right where I was 20 minutes ago, so she offers to give me 150 gold if I tajke her there...so I impale her...and take the 150 I would have received...so much freedom...I LOVE IT! lol

This game sounds cool but I'm way too chivalrous to do something like that even to a game sprite.. *chuckles* Stealing a rare armor from a store I don't have a real problem with though.

Looks like I might be renting an Xbox this weekend. Or camping out at my bud Tony's house. ^_^

This game as at least 200+ plus hrs. of game time...so you better make that a long camp out Thornn lol.

Well I just got a house in the game...well rather I barged in...I killed the guy livin there...got rid of the body and got rid of all of his stuff like on shelves and stuff...and now I just put all my extra weopons and potions like on the shelves and stuff...and use his bed....errr.....MY bed whenever I'm hurt, kind of like my own personal base.

lol...nah I'm not usually like that...but when your given the option...you do it, it's like either go and try and complete this really long quest...or just kill the person and get it over with y'know.

I mean you don't play GTA III without goin on a wild rampage every now and then to liven things up.

Yeah you can see your character in third person view...but you'll learn to stop doing it because it makes picking up items and looking around harder...

I just like having the option. BTW how does it run? I know the PC version can be pretty shaky if you don't have a powerful PC. I can't wait until I get an Xbox. My friend from school came over a couple days ago with his, and we played some co-op Halo. It's a sweet machine.

*Nah Sleezy the game plays quite well*

I know this has pretty much been said but Ill say it again "This game is Awesome" a friend and Me rented it a few times thinking we would beat it. Boy were we wrong, we got addicted to it and had to have logged at least 20 hours into that sucker and didn't even crack the surface. Of course the 20 hours was slightly divided into 2 different characters. The ability to customize your character never ends, besides just picking your race hair and face you can customize your abilities and create your own class (Warrior, Adventurer, you name it). Throught the game you can steal, pillage, or work your way into money. U can buy tons of clothing and armor, spells and magic, plus you can join guilds (I think their like 5 A thieves, fighters, something called the razors, Imperial, and a few more) Its easy to get lost so make sure you keep an eye on the prize. The world is expansive, I traveled forever and still didn't see the end of it. You can upgrade infinitely with categories ranging form Personality to you name it. Trust me this game is definatly worth buying. Heres an example of some things that can happen in the game . I was playing and I was in this castle place with guards everywhere. I went into a few shops and murdered the Alchemists/Traders/whatever they were selling. I stole everything I could carry and sold it to whoever was willing to buy. I forgot to dispose of their bodies and when I came out of a room I talked to a guy and he said that someone was going around murdering shop owners and that if I caught the fiend there would be a rich reward. Then I went to a guard and tried to talk to him, he saw that I had one of the shop owners cloths in my inventory and arrested me on the spot, I didn't have the money to pay the fine it was like 3,000 gold (I had some outstanding loitering fines adding up as well) So my choice was to resist arrest and be murdered by like 5 armed guards, (wasnt a door close enough to run to make an escape), or to go to jail, while in jail many of my attributes dropped and they took all my stolen goods. Anyways, the game is great, if your gonna buy an X Box get this game

Ill elaborate more on the different factions and guilds...

You can join

The Thieve's Guild: Basically work on your lockpicking and running away from the guards or people you pick pocket from in your quests.

The Fighter's Guild: Almost like a Mercenary, you'll be hired to fulfill contracts such as travelling the world clearing out tombs, caverns, killing gang leaders and bandits, and providing muscle to your clients.

Mage's Guild: Well obviously it deals with magic and sorcery. It includes mixing spells...enchanting items, and carrying out various tasks to fulfill the needs of Morrowinds many wizards.

Morag Tong: Probably the coolest faction...the assassin's guild. They basically give you writs which allow you to fulfill an "honorable" execution on certain people...and plus it's totally legal!

Imperial Legion: Basically the protectors of the peace, your a member of Morrowinds guard unit and your duty is to protect the people and save those "damsels in distress"

The Blades:....well I don't want to spoil anything so buy the game to find out who they are!!

There are other factions as well such as the temple, the imperial cult, and an Ashlander

Oh yeah and did I mention that you can become a Vampire...jack up your stats and join a vampire clan to try and strike back against the human world...very cool indeed!

Hey,

I'm so interested in this game! Please, all the owners of an Xbox who played it, write here your stories, tell me if there are places that were particularly beautiful... I'd like so much to read more about it, since I don't have the money to buy an Xbox!

Thanks!!

Well in the middle of the province (its a giant island by the way) is Red Mountain, it's dark, gloomy, seems to be always windy and when its windy you can barely see anything with all the ash blowing towards you. There's lava up the sides and everything is dead.

Towards the Southern and western areas it is very grassy and plants and trees are abundant with many colors all around you.

Towards the western side is very swampy

And there are some cities made entirely out of plants and vines.

The environment is very well done and very unique

Hope that helps or paints some kinda picture in your mind
