Well, there isn't a thread for these two game on here yet, and I figured I might as well be the first one to put them on here. So I own both games, fantastic game play. I thought both were done amazingly well, and as much as I like the expanded map, different playable characters, and tons of side missions in Arkham City I have to admit that I enjoyed Arkham Asylum a little better.

The game had a haunting feeling to it, and the fact that Scarecrow was one of the major characters in the game didn't hurt. All in all a great couple of games.

Hi friza

I have played both games myself and probably preferred the first just a tad. Absolutely marvelous series and one of the best (if not the best) of the comic book video game series. I think this game encapsulates a lot of what the series creator originally envisioned. Ive been a batman fan since the mid sixties! Wonderful show and a great way to enliven the imagination! Im a big fan of the animated series too!

I loved the animated series, and of course Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. That said I thought that both games were done exceptionally well.

I also played and loved only the first one. Great atmosphere, and interesting take on character design. It is a pleasure to see this kind of stuff made using licenses instead of the horrible things we have been subjected to in the past.

Compared to other Batman games, they are the greatest. Compared to other games that're like them, I feel they come up short. I like Arkham City far more than Arkham Asylum, but neither one really felt all that satisfying like when I play games like Assassin's Creed 2 or Devil May Cry 3. I never could explain my beef with these 2 Batman games, but it felt like something was missing, and till this day I still don't know what that something is.

Don't get me wrong, though. They are definitely good games. I'm just not thrilled about them as everyone else are.

I really looked forward to the first game then nonchalantly picked up the second on a black Friday deal. Enjoy the series and like the voices from the animated series. They do provide a fair amount of variety and innovation. Both games kept me interested but like many nowadays after the first playthrough your pretty much done. Game rental will be my method of playing most games for a while.

I know, right? That's my biggest issue with games these days. They give you no reason to want to play them after you beat the game for the first time. It's like secrets in games don't exist anymore. You get everything through DLC. It's like trophies and achievement points just took over everything, and I don't care for that stuff. Online rankings, this stuff just don't cut it. I'd much rather go back to the days where you beat the game and unlock something like stealth camo or something along those lines.

I'll stop there because I'm getting ready to vent and ramble lol.

I used to rent a lot at blockbuster but had been buying mostly the last 8 or so years. I had considered gamefly but never too seriously until a online buddy suggested checking it out. Glad I did in the first two months ive played and beaten dead space dead space 3 hitman absolution and played far cry 3 and still playing darksiders 2 all for $22 (first month free). Sure beats the buying price! So any early ps4 observations? Will be a year or more before its out likely.

So far, with that Sony press conference that took place 2 days ago, I think it was mentioned that they were aiming to release it by the holiday season. The model's not done so you could be right by saying another year or so. As far as specs goes, not much is really clear to me ,but the one thing that sticks out is the social media stuff. There was a rumor floating around saying that Sony said you will need internet service for the ps4. I never cared for this online stuff, so if this is optional stuff, ok, cool, but right now it sounds like they are forcing it on everyone and I hate that.

Yeah someone mentioned that for the new xbox you would need online capability. That would definitely set a lot of people off. Im not a big co-op gamer so the online portion wouldnt do much for me. They would be actually hurting their customer base imo.
