If you feed him a dead fish Celes goes and jumps off a cliff then is still alive anyway. so it dosnt really matter what you do. You still get the raft in the end anyway :D

no as i heard yu can keep him alive by feeding him right amount of fish

yeah Cid can live, its just a case of repeatedly feeding him only the yummy fish.... Theres no fixed number because for every rotten one, or time you go back without a fish (the later of which you sometimes have to do) Cid's condition deterioates... You know when you are close when Cid starts to say "I'm afraid I'm not long for this world" (which sounds more negative than his previous sayings "Hack Hack! i feel a little better" :laugh: )

Not in the least :laugh: he does nothing as far as I can tell. As far as i know Palidor is still on the beach regardless, I guess Its just a gratification thing :)
