Router Troubles (EVERYONE)
I just bought a d link brand 4 port router to connect with my PS2 and Computer sharing my cable ISP. For some reason when I log onto socom after having hooked it up I can talk to ppl but I cant hear them talk back. Somone hinted that me going through a router may be the problem, but i KNOW alot of ppl play over routers. Can someone please help me out here ??

Have you tried hooking up without the router? Try it to see if it eliminates the problem. I don't have the adapter, but I'm assuming you can hook directly to your modem.

Yes hooking directly eliminates the problem, ive got it narrowed down to being a problem with the routers firewall which requires a geniouses intilect to configure, asyou can tell by the spelling im no genious

And unfortunetly my cable ISP uses a dynamic IP address so I cant share it without a router or getting my MAC address cleared everytime I switch between PS2 and computer. what a pain !
