Beet the Vandel Buster

just caught the first couple eps of this series...looks interesting

story goes: its a time where people are attacked by monsters and their only defense is a group of monster hunters called Busters. The monsters are controlled by boss monsters, called Vandels, which are strong and horrible creatures with crazy powers. Beet is a boy who decides to become a vandel buster so that he can protect the poeple of the world.

The anime is very rpg'ish. Not only do they go by levels (where Beet starts at level 1 and can abrely fight level 1 mini monsters) but also the Vandels themselves gain experience points by destroying villages. You can see the boss monsters relaxing in a Vandel Hotel where they rack up all the experience for the people they've killed and get money to purchase subordinates and monsters for their armies. Real slick idea- I think.

The animation is good, sorta reminds me of dragonball gt but alot cleaner...music is alright

it shows promise, a good thing to watch when I have nothing else to do

Yeah I found it pretty entertaining, espically the 8 episodes I did watch. I'll probably pick it back up sometime in the future.
