I like to draw but I'm not good at it, so I will never post anything in the gallery! BTW, I still have to meet someone who hates to draw, even when it's just for fun!

You two guys, no need to get mad for such things! This place is supposed to exist to have fun, not to start arguments for the stupidest things! Nothing bad happened, so calm down and go on with posting!

I like to draw and I do fairly often. It helps to be around it a lot because then you get new ideas and it helps you develop a style of your own. I have taking many art classes at school but the style I have developed is still my own. I find taking art classes helps you with techniques but you can't beat a self tought style.

Well, obviously from my post above, yes I like to draw. The unfortunate thing is, I don't think my drawings are that good (and this is the truth).

I love to draw (along with lots of other disciplines in the arts) and have been teaching myself since I was very young.
I have taken lots of art classes and workshops and learned from many different people as well, however. I've been fortunate in the different artists I've been able to work with through my school and people at my local art gallery. If you want to give yourself a good place to work from, I'd recommend taking some life drawing courses so you get a good handle on the human anatomy, even if you don't like sketching or working in a realistic style. |

I could recommend a great course to you if you'd be able to drive to Kitchener once a week to go to it.
The teacher I had for the last life drawing course I had is doing another one pretty soon. Plus, you live in Toronto! There have gotta be at least a few life drawing courses going on at the OCAD during the summer. Try to check that out. |

I think if you're younger than eighteen you need parental permission or something to that extent.
I'll post the information about the course if I can find it for you tommorrow . . . and for anyone else in this area as well, though that's probably very few. |
