EA or Sega Sports
Ive been researching the upcoming nfl games in order to choose one or the other. From what Ive seen NFL 2k3 has a slight score advantage, and I do mean slight. Most sites and magazines ranked it like, .3 better than Madden NFL 2003. In the end I reserved and paid for Madden NFL 2003 at babbages (Along with Socom ) Just to be on the safe side, i know I like the madden series Ive owned the last 2. But I fear I may have made the wrong choice, wich one would you guys go with ?

first off post the sports related questions in the sports forum, ive moved it for you (MY FIRST BIG MOVE, WOOHOO) I'll be glad to answer any questions based on sport games.
Now I am no fooseball expert but I am a sucker for EA sports. I only rent the games once and put it down for good cause I just like to geta feel for them. I love the new look of Madden and I cant think that it will be topped this year. Now that Sega is purly game based I believe they will be superior in the next 2 years, but this year I say madden!

989 Sports titles are the worst sports titles ever released get a clue. They shouldnt even waste thier time developing the gameday series anymore (And sorry bout posting it in the wrong place didnt know thier was a sports forum)

Hey no problem with the posting mistake, it happens all the time, and I did it twice since my return.
The thing with me when it comes to choice in sports games is my past. I grew up with NHL for Genises and NHL 93 for SNES, NBA Live 96 for computer Triple Play98 for Computer. You see EA was the original series to get it right. Each year the games get a little better and yes some are being passed by other companies but i gotta stick with EA through and through becuase they made my gameing awsome as a kid and I gotta stick with them cause EA is one of the family.

i Agree ive only ever been a real fan of EA sports but I have a question about Madden 2003. Will thier be gang tackles. Like when a guy grabs soemone to tackle them and another guy joins in and grabs him ? To me thats the one real aspect of pro football that Madden has failed to capture. Anyone who watches football knows that there are alotta times where more than one guy joins in on tackling someone. And also pile ups, another thing madden has forgotton

In the last few years EA has started to put there eye on other things outside of game play. The fans, the stadiums etc. This has caused the other games to catch up in the game play department. To answer your question, i have no idea! agreed though, these are the little things EA needs to do to STAY #1

for Football games go for EA.
for Hockey games go for EA but for Basketball games go for Sega Sports...EA is horrible with NBA games but the NBA 2K series that Sega has is the best

This years NBA Live is going to be unreal. have you even heard anything about it?
The game is not an upgrade like other years. They basically started from scrath. Go to Easports.com there is a interview with the producer explaining the new stuff. I think NBA LIVE is BACK!

I hope so. But I thin the Segas NBA series is nearly perfected gameplay wise. Ill check it out. And another thing just crossed my mind about madden, they need to do something about all the players in the game wearing the same shoes, that just rapes the realism

EA Sports are very boring I think, they dont even make the games in the first place, they just buy the publishing rights.
But to the point, their sports series is just so repetitive its boring now. They dont incorporate new features enough. Sega sports have some great new titles coming out now, and I hope they go big this year, Sega are after the creators of such great sports series as Sega World Wide Soccer, and Sega Rally. I think Sega deserve some success after the recent bad luck theyve had with the Dreamcast etc. |
