Submit your poems for this contest ;)
Okay everyone, this is an honorary poetry contest judged by Red and I. I know that all of you are fine poets. Now, lets see if y'all have that competitive side! Hurry and Submit your poetry here.
Here are the rules: 1) The deadline is June 1st, 2004. 2) Two poems to a person. 3) If you submit two, rhyme has to be consistant throughout one of the poems. 4) Your second poem can't be longer than 150 words. Your first poem can be as long as you want. 5) You can swear as long as it suits the poem. 6) Any poor sportsmanship results in disqualification. Any other questions outside of these rules ask Mark(Redpyramidhead) and Pam (Lost_myth). You know what to do. Spill your heart out and have a grand ol' time haha.. I'm weird.

Thought it would be cool to hold an event like this so we thought this would be fun. Basically, what Lost_Myth says as far as rules. There are no rules outside the ones outlined. Anything goes because we know that freedom of creation is the most essential part to poetry. Honorary titles will be handed out at the end of this. Lost_Myth and I will not be participating because that would cause bias considering we are judging... Now I know some very good poets out there and I know of a lot of people here in the PS2F community who either regularly post or have posted poems in the past. I urge you all strongly to give this a try because IT IS FOR FUN! after all
If Faile has anything to say because he is the mod of this forum, please do so. Simply submit all of your entries under this thread. If you are posting something in fan fiction that has nothing to do with this simply create a new thread for it like you normally would do. Everybody got it? COOL! _RED_ stuff

Ok i told Mark(Red) last night i'd post this here so here it is..it's something i wrotte awhile back but he thought i should post it and though i think it's not that good..i should keep my word and post it like i said i would ..
I wonder I met you in my dreams And yet i know nothing about you.. Though i feel as if you were true I lay awake at night wondering... I wonder how would it be To see you smile, To have you near me, But you are so far from here Sometimes i feel as if i'm lost in a dream A dream i can't wake up from So the only thing that's left Is wondering again.. How your face looks like.. How your touch feels like.. Your kiss tastes like... I simply wonder who are you The one that i see every night But i can not reach... Who are you that speaks as if you knew the whole me My deepest secrets My hidden thoughts Who are you the one that i feel could be my soul The light of my life.. I wonder what could this dream be.. Is it a sum of all my desires Are you the sum of all my wishes I keep wondering.. How would it be if you were by my side Right next to me... |

well heres one.. .i am just gonna wing it
alone... but close Here I sit in a daze with a mind thats crazed Wonder how i made it this far When my lifestyle isnt quite up to par felt alone and i've felt dead But i've realised that its all in my head. got more friends than i can handle when i was in dark they lit my candle wandering alone and feeling no love Then i turned to heaven above no help there so i turn to my friends and thats where my loves at in then end.

dialogue is just your luck
i'm not sure where to place my eyes and all that i despise comes to me at night with a touch i've always worn like a second sight i'll always second guess again and again until you are right words that change and throw down horror lips that breathe death blue forever for the peace of life that you've now lost your glow is just so normal and you used to shine no guide to sensation now i'm sure you've lost before and i'm sure you'll lose again i'm sure he'll take you down to destroy all we were i'm sure you'll play his game to resist and restrain and give in i'm sure you've lost before and i'm sure you'll lose again so just give in |

I am truly sorry. I was willing to post something, but later I deleted it. I couldn't find anything suitable for this thread. I think I only have stuff that would look or sound sort of "misplaced" here, and I'm not sure at this moment I like my "English" poems enough to let anybody around here read them

I was lucky enough to read it with my beady little magpie eyes! Obviously enough its your work, but I wouldn't worry. I thought it was ace. Yet I do understand an unwillingness to show something for reasons ...
I think you (et eli/newusername) should post in your native languages. words are pretty regardless of translation + ignorance (mine).

Looking good so far guys. I will speak to Lost_Myth about extending the deadline if we do not recieve a sizeable amount of more submissions. As long as ones of this quality come in, though, the final amount may not be something to be concerned with. Plus, there can always be a round two. IN the meantime, I urge all of you, whether you feel your poetry is worthy of posting in this thread or is unsure of their writing capabilities, to just post their poems anyways. Seriously This is just a fun little contest. I mean, who appointed Pam and I to be the ones to start a competition to acknowledge only the highest standards of poetry in the forums?!? There's no prestigious lifetime achievement award involved here, guyz and galz. Just enjoy yourselves. Panuru, post your poems in their original italian form if you want and maybe even along with a translated version. I'd love to see. Then we can get an idea of the prose and the format and the meaning at the same time. I mean, I totally understand your concern of its beauty and certain meanings lost in translation, but humor us, will ya?
Nice entries Kaena, Trunks, and Faile! Keep 'em coming! _RED_ stuff

I was unsure about entering this..as it's such a strong subject.
I apologize if it upsets anybody. Frozen, Unable to shake myself Sweat arising in the palms of my hands The pace of my heartbeat quickening The room starts to swirl around me I want to run but I can't My own body holding me prisoner As I hear that familiar Jingle of keys My body tenses, I know what's coming The footsteps getting closer Each step feels like a stab in my heart The Door handle turns and he is there Towering over me like the devil I can smell the booze on his breath As he touches me I feel the roughness of his worn hands The unbearable pain rushing over me As I hit the floor unable to pick myself up I lie their numb, letting it happen And then it's over, He kisses me, straightens his tie and leaves. ~ Piggle Humsy. I think all of you waited long enough.. heOkay everyone, from me these are the scores
I wonder--relativity 4 imagery 2 dialect 1 punctuation 3 sentence structure 3 13/20 alone...but close relativity 4 imagery 4 dialect 3 punctuation 2 sentence structure 3 16/20 #1 relativity 2 imagery 4 dialect 4 punctuation 1 sentence structure 4 15/20 Frozen relativity 3 imagery 4 dialect 4 punctuation 2 sentence structure 4 17/20 So Piggle is the winner, according to me and Trunks is the runner up. I'll see what I can do for rewards. Red, I guess can figure out his own prize/ winner.
