I was wondering about that rumor that xbox can play a few ps2 games, i think its bogus, because is one playstation can play on xbox then all should

If there is a PS2 emulator for the XBox then it's certainly possible - however the games would run sooooooo sloooooooowwwwwwwly that they would be unplayable.

For example, my PC (2.4ghz, GeForce4 Ti, 1.5Gb RAM) still cannot run certain PSOne games at full speed when using PSeXe - and I'm sorry but my PC lashes all over XBox in so many ways.

To be honest, I'm yet to hear of a PS2 emulator for the XBox but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen.

I'm yet to hear of a PS2 emulator that actually does emulating to the point where it can play the games!. I can't falsify the claim, but there is no technological reason why a PS2 game would run on an XBox. Are you sure this wasn't something someone just misinterpreted? I mean, you can most certainly play Timesplitters 2 or GTA3 / Vice City - all originally PS2 games - on the XBox, but you obviously can't play them with the PS2 disks. I could see how someone could misinterpret being able to play games that people think of a PS2 releases in that way.

And Spank - I thought you had a Radeon 9700? Did you downgrade?

Nope, always had a GF4 - maybe you're getting me mixed up with someone else. However, an upgrade is looking more and more likely - I have to actually turn things off now in games to get them running okay (well, except for UT2004 which is full all the way! Woo hoo!).
