Thanks for the warning, I had almost forgot it was coming on soon. Ill definately be tuned in. Hopefully it gets good ratings and more channels start to involve gaming in thier weekly line-ups. The game show network has a show on gaming now, its pretty lame, but hey its Video Games, good enuff for me.

Most of the games i really dont care for (except for freedom fighters and a few others) oh and mena GTA: VC is only up on one catagory since everybody can go up to spiketv and vote for what should win. And yeah VC is up for game of the year award with 4 other games i dont remember.

Just letting you know that Jenna Jameson already won the AIAS award for best female voice over in Vice City which aired on G4TV.

The only thing that makes me think it might suck is that theres only like 3 games in many of the catagory's . This isnt like movies where theres only 3 or 4 really good ones a year, there are plenty of games that deserve nomination. And wheres the best console award ?. Or the best Game creators award ?. Castle Vania LOI game of the year ?. Not by a LONG shot IMO. The year a castle vania hack and slash re hash wins game of the year is the year I hang myself from the nearest ceiling fan

And theres no point in placing a soccor game in sports game of the year in a U.S awards show because soccor has NO place in the states (Thank GOD !). Then again maybe your right, it is a game that was released in the states and was excellent (Say the reviwers) so yeah I guess they should have put it in there. But then again they didnt put ALOT of great sports games in there, like the best of the year IMO ESPN NBA Basketball. But oh well..we all have our opinions

And anyone who says Halo 2 isnt the most anticipated game might as well admit he's been living under a rock for the past 2 years. What game did you say is the most anticipated ? I went to EB yesterday to get Budokai 2, the guy who sold me it and the guide mentioned the awards. He mentioned Spike tv used to be another cable channel, would any of you know about that?

I guess it doesn't matter much to me though, I'd watch it but my appointment from last night was rescheduled for tonight, don't think there's a chance someone would tape it for me here either.

The guy also mentioned that most people don't know that last year the video game industry made significantly more than movies, I guess he was hinting that might be why there's a video game awards.

Well the VGA's are almost over and I must say..im impressed. I expected a generic show with weak humor and a few predictible award hand outs. And what I got was actually entertaining and quite the production. Sure the awards were almost pointless and certainly predictable, but the comedy was pretty good and the huck jam was cool.

The whole ice block thing was uncalled for, but other than that the bits were descent

What I wonder is, how in the world can Madden 2004 win game of the year (Wich its NOT !) and not best sports game. I mean, thats like saying this game is the best in the world but not better than Tony Hawk Underground. Was up wit dat !. And whats up with announcing the biggest award first anyway ?

Anyway its not over yet so my opinion may change...i think they may actually have a wrestling match. WHYYYYYY !? Whats that got to do with a video game awards show ?

I am totally puzzled. I thought this was a video game awards show. Instead I got to see a concert and soft-core porn show all in one. I mean the show was all skin and nothing but skin then an award then a song then back to skin then a skit then more skin with David Spade spaced throughout. If I wanted to see skin I would have continued to play Final Fantasy X-2. The bits weren't even that funny (I did like the Gladius one a tiny bit). The whole show was POINTLESS. A WRESTLING MATCH? WHO CARES? It was one of the worst matches I have ever seen. I mean it was about 5 minutes long and the highlight was seeing a girl get her pants pulled down.

Then you have the awards part. Vicious already said it. HOW IS MADDEN THE GAME OF THE YEAR? Now only is it game of the year but it is not sports game of the year? What is this, the BCS? The biggest award was announced first and they didn't make a big deal about it.

I thought the other awards shows were bad but this? This is terrible. At least the other awards shows hold some significance.
