stupidly, when i saved i didn't look at what the place was called.
this is my first time playing and i don't know much about it.

i think it's lake macalania but i'm not sure. it's all snowy if that helps..

i'm having problems defeated the al bhed machina boss in that it's just impossible!

any tips??

that'll be the one ^_^ ... as general tip, is to get into random fights and build the limit guage of Yuna and her Aeons to full, so you can use their overdrives in the boss battle... also for this fight, I think Rikku's abilities have some kind of use (select "use" on the tank thingy and i may do somthing... maybe )

Theyre is a Negator which stops all magick attacks, you can take it out with Wakkas attack to get LuLu to dish some speels out, But your better letting the negator living, because the machina boss will let loose a huge Mana Beam when its gone Leave the negator there, get out Auron, LuLu and another strong physical hitter, have LuLu use reflex every move (to help dodge the gun attack) and make Auron and whoever else dish some pain in, Hastega and Slow is also useful.

If your main strategy is characters that dish out a lot of physical pain don't worry about destroying the negator. If you like to use magic defeat the negator and hit it with magic and heal if nacessary. When it is a few turns away from using the mana beam summon an aeon.

Also, make sure everyone you are going to use has their overdrives full.

to take it out quick, just make sure yuna has her overdrive full, and that the lighning aeon has his full, take out the negator, then have yuna use her grand summon on him. then he can use thors hammer twice.. (pretty sure you have him at that battle, if not, use someone else, same trick..)

You were right form the beginning and that is a good idea too.

i'll go try those later.

but i think the problem when i was using my aeons was that they don't really have much HP. do i just use them in more battles to get higher HP or is there something else i'm supposed to do?

The Aeons grow in Strength, HP etc with Yuna, so if yuna gets stronger, they do to. You can only teach Aeons new abilities when you get the Summoners Soul and that works basically like Rikku's Customisation Skill, you use items to get a certain skill.
