Well i went to funcoland today and put a reserve on the game

and i also bought silent hill 1 and 2

im going to have some pretty good gaming time ahead of me.

I played SH3 today and its pretty cool im liking it so far. I find the graphics amazeing as well best i have seen so far for the ps2. they also wasted no time for the monsters to start coming in this game

and that the soundtrack is included is awesome as well

It seemed to be more of a continuation of the first game's plot. Rather than standing all on it's own like the second Silent Hill game. I have no compliants here though, i thought it was a very well done project. My favorite of the series thus far, because it opened a book that had already been closed and continued on with an already great game.

SH3, has the best audio and visuals out right now for the PS2. A graphical and audio showcase second to none. The load times were short too, given the huge amount of detail in the enviorments

If you haven't played the first and second you won't be getting the full experiance SH3 has to offer. That said, the game will most likely seem shallow. (There's scenes and character interactions that are unlocked with SH2 save data. Also beating the first game sets up the stage for the 3rd.)

Alot of people are saying that the game is about 2 hours long..

. It's not, maybe if you have it on easy riddles and easy combat..with a walkthrough in hand and constantly running around everywhere. I got to the town in like 4 1/2 hours..finished the game in about 7 hours total.

There's a good amount of extras too, unlocked by meeting certain objectives. Which adds to the longevity of the title. Which is always cool.

Some are real cool too.

X Play gave this game a 5 out of 5. Makes me jealous i dont have a ps2 anymore. And as someone allready pointed out playing the first SH is a MUST ! (Says Morgan Web). She said SH2 wasnt integral as far as storyline goes but having a SH2 save got you some extra goodies in SH3. This game looks creepy and yet very intreaguing. So much so that i even slapped a SH3 poster on my wall. If i didnt dislike the first one so much i might make some effort to play SH3. But if im going to be lost to the story, its not worth it. Anyone, those of you who do have it, enjoy, lucky dogs
