do we really need them?

They brag about a machine thats ripping them off, the ones I've meet on forums and such, (not this fine place tho

) have been right up thier own @rse.

Anyone come across this?

Every system has its fan boys. You act as though its just the X Box...do I sence a little Ps2 fan boyism in you ?. I mean yeah fan boys suck...but if your going to do a post about them dont just single out the X Box and say something stupid like "A Machine thats ripping them off" (Some would argue that X Box has more fanboys than most systems and that might even be true but still). I have an X Box and its NOT ripping me off in the least. Did you think that because this was a PS2 site that everyone here was going to go along weith your X Box hating ?. Ill have you know that whilst most of the posters here prefer Ps2 they are not biast against any machine. So to answer your rather ignoranrtly stated question yes I dont like fan boys.

whoa dude, it was just curiousity that lead me to post such a message.

And the reason I singled out XBOX (or more specifically XLIVE as i should have pointed out in my post) was because yes it is a rip, £10 a month to run a console online is a bit much by any standards.

I have an XBOX to, so I felt I was at a happy medium between to two and able to make such a remark. Another reason for the post, and I think you said this yourself, id that in its short life span it has created more fanboys then any other machine.

I should have generalised the question more to just 'fanboys' lol thx for pointing it out to me

Fanboys are about as bad as the game Superman 64(And we ALL know how bad that game is right?)

Anyways, Mircosoft hasn't said anything about how much it'll cost after everyone's first year of xbox live is over.

But do you have any proof that it'll cost [amount of money right here] a month?

It's been circulating around many XBOX forums that M$ will introduce a monthly fee, thats all I know about it at the minute.

But hey this is the games industry, any news we get is usually turns out to be worse so I can only hope it stays at £10 per month lol

Well I think there are more X-Box fan boys than any system ever. I mean there were ps1 fan boys but it comes no where close to the number of X-Box ones. And I think you can blame the X-Box fan boys for this.

Why? you ask. Because they are the ones that said, "Our machine is much more powerful then the gay station poo and the gay cube, thus our machine is the best ever!" Then in retaliation the ps2 fans have to defend themselves by saying, "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA you idiot. Look at the number of units and games we have sold! Look at all our top games compared to your list of X-Box only games!"

It becomes a war. A war of hatred and jealousy. We have the ps2 fan boys who want the power and the x-box fan boys who want the games. All in all though it just seems like every good game that comes out for any system gets dogged and praised way too much. It just seems that there are more x-box fan boys dogging good ps2 games then ps2 fan boys dogging good x-box games. Maybe that's because the ps2 has more good games?

As for the question it was not ignorant. Sure every system has fan boys but on this day it must have been X-Box fan boys for Jubei. At least ps2 fan boys can win an argument not pertaining to graphics.

Ok man sorry, I misunderstood your intentions I guess but it seemed to me you were intentionally signling out the X Box when the fan boy epidemic is bad for all the systems..again sorry for blowing up.

And to preventer...I didnt say his question was ignorant...just ignorantly stated which in retrospect wasnt to the extent that I saw it so once more I apologise.

And as was said you are wrong about X Box LIVE being a rip-off. I Dont have it but the first friggin year is free...a rip off ? Not at ALL. And anything youve heard about them charging after that is just speculation..nothing more. And if they do so be it. You know SONY may very well HAVE to switch its online strategy around to having its own online service..because X Box is the only system that has a stable online plan. SORRY to say it but Playing the PS2 online is NOTHING compared to playing on LIVE and just wait till Halo 2 comes out its gonna blow up, even though I think socom is the BEST online game around and socom 2 looks good. Theres rumors all over the place that SONYS online strategy is failing and its no wonder....only a select few games are slated to have voice support and the one that does now is rather poor. Half the crap you hear in the socom headset is gibrish because of the static . I not trying to turn this into a debate on online strategys so Ill get back to my original point. If you dont want to deal with ignorant..immature fan boys then stay away from the message boards that harbor them...I have yet to see one here and thats why I like PS2fantasy soo much . Stay where its safe my friend...

I agree with one thing... fanboys suck... I have all the systems and they all kick ass in different ways... i dont understand all the fighting.. video games are video games.. i dont give a damn what system they are on as long as they are good games. Am i right? I play them all alot but recently ive been playing my NES the most... funny huh... oh well... now i am wandering...
I will continue to buy all the systems so i dont miss a great game because of some stupid garbage about what system its on... I love gaming and gaming period... thank you and goodnight

I never knew Sony had an online strategy

But I think X-Box is going to charge...I am sure most people who have live didn't bother to read anything before they signed up but if you read Live Terms of Use and read about the billing it cleary states that they can start charging at any time the free year is up.

Your DEFINATELY right there..people have been telling me that for a while now but Im not keen on working while im still in High School. I graduate in a few weeks and then Ill be training with my dad for 240 a week . I plan on just blowing the first few pay checks to spoil myself. Ill be getting a PS2 (Used to have one) and some games. Then X Box Live. Forget the GC I can just play Preventers
