This game will seriously crush any upcoming FPS in this Universe. Infact even the First One crushes 90% of em already anyway.

I totally agree with you there Makgsnake - sometimes if I satrt playing it I end up playing it for 4 hours at a time.... it wil crush and smash the other new games into little piles of dust.

https://money.cnn.com/2003/04/23/comm...ming/index.htm - CNN also got a word in edgeways to Valve (and contains an in-game screenshot - if the pics actually load). This game is going to be BIG for sure, and it'll certainly be interesting to see how they follow up the original (I mean, they can't exactly reuse the amazing Black Mesa type "secret research thingy goes wrong" storyline can they?)

and I can't believe we've only got a few months to wait :O and... it has everything that Unreal 2 promised and a playing time thats longer than the time taken to eat a yogurt!!!!!

(thanks for finding the pics as well Vic - I wouldn't have seen anything for months thanks to PC Gamers' copyright over the images...)

not heard anything about Add-ons (and note that the only person apart from you to mention them in this thread says "Imagine", making it unlikely that they've heard anything). the only confirmed Half-Life stuff prior Half-Life 2 is, ... Half-Life 3. And Team Fortress 2 : Brotherhood of Arms, if you feel inclined to include that as Half-Life game (it did have the G-Man in an early screenshot). But lets face it, Valve will want to milk Half-Life a little, and I've always really wondered what happened to Corporal Shepherd...

I was having a good dream there. But now its shattered

now back to real life. Half Life 3? flippin heck thats a long way off - itll probably be some futuristic virtual surround game bcos by then well have super dude virtual reality consoles or something but maybe not - half life as always kicks ass!!!!

as CNN rightly points out, the PC market always picks up about 2 years after the consoles have been released, and the next gen consoles are a way off: in this time, many have powerful PC that'll play games with much better graphics than those available on any console. If you ask me, Half-Life 3 will be aiming for a release at the forefront of the next PC revival - a long time to wait, but there are always great games on the others platforms to cover.

Geez... its like the circle of life or somthing

Half-life 2...ah yeah!!! Didn't think that would happen thought they would never stop making add-ons for part one...

Edit: Saw a preview movie, OMG unbelievable how this game looks...you got this gun with which you can pick up stuff( complete closets, boilers etc.) and shoot at things. By the looks of it it's gonna reset the standard for FPS once again...
