i for one would like to see a new platform put out by sega. the dreamcast when it came out was way ahead of its time. still to this very day i play my dreamcast. it had so man awsome games on that system. i mean look at shenmue that game was a great game man u could do anything in that game basicly. So i hope they produce a new one.

Dude I hate to break it to you but SEGA is just a software company now. They were never making the money they thought they were going to and thus had to shut down, I've heard a couple of rumors were Nintendo might be put in the same situation, but I really doubt that would happen anytime soon but who knows. I agree with you though the deamcast was and still is a great system.

I also agree that the d cast is a great system and the facts remain the same that sega will prolly never release their own system again...
As for the big N.. Miyamoto has stated that the day that nintendo stops producing its own console is the day that nintendo w/draws from the industry... and i dont forsee that happening any time soon. the Cube is a great system... it just lacks the games support

I love the GC but it is just not having the support it needs.. oh well... i guess i am one of the only die hard NIntendo fans taht believe that they can still be succesfull!

I like the GC too trunks but for the same reason I also dislike it. Back to the topic on hand(sort of) I think it would be cool if SEGA would at least continue to produce games for the dreamcast. I think that would be a great idea. The games may lack the graphics but if that's why you play videogames then I don't see how you can call yourself a gamer.

I too agree that the Dream Cast was a good system (I bought one in the first week) . But bad timing really did them in. Playstation just had way to much momentum going into releasing the PS2. They would have been better off not even trying to compete with it. Perhaps waiting untill after the release of the PS2 would have been better. But who knows. And yes Nintendo has allready announced they are producing a next gen system to be released sometime in late 2005. Id HATE to see nintendo die. Missing out on games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc would be a shame. And It just wouldnt be the same playing them on say, the PS2 or the X Box.

It would be a shame to lose Nintendo. I still remember back in the day playing the classics(which are now remade on the next gen systems

) Back when games were games and you only had 3 lives.........hahaha
