Angry Super mario Sunshine.

Well...I liked playing Mario...I'm sure just about everyone has played at least one game from the series.
Anyway, the new Mario game for the GB is expected to be released in August of this year.
From the looks of it, it's going to be a rather enjoyable game.
Even though I don't have a GB, I think I'll find a way to play it
Well, here's what I found out: ( Quoting directly )
*note* possible spoilers*...I think...

Everyone's favourite plumber was always going to be present at E3, but for the first time, the pre-show buzz about the game wasn't as high as it has been in the past. Mirroring some of the malaise around other Nintendo games - Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda - Super Mario Sunshine just didn't inspire the sort of fanaticism seen in the past due to it looking a bit too similar to the last 3D Mario outing. True to form, however, that all changed once the game was displayed at E3, where the little moustachioed one gleefully claimed the attention of anyone who saw it, and ran off happily as fast as his little legs could carry him, the cheeky scamp. In other words, Super Mario Sunshine owns your [Wait for it, readers! – Ed.] candyass, mackdaddy! Wooooooo!
The game follows you as Mazza, who is trying to take a break with Princess Peach (ooer) on a remote island. But much to the couple's dismay, the little island and its inhabitants have been polluted by a mysterious stranger who is said to bare a striking resemblance to Mario. So, armed with his trusty water pump our hero sets out to clean up his reputation, as he polishes up the town itself, and restore the so-called 'power of Shine' - stop sniggering at the back - to the island. Sounds like an excuse to perform some classic 3D-platforming action to us. Not that we'd complain with creator Shigeru Miyamoto at the helm.

Taking the Mario 64 gameplay premise, this Gamecube outing expands on the N64 engine more substantially than first realised. Yes, he can still perform double and triple jumps, flips, butt smashes, wall jumps, slides, climbs and all those athletic moves you never thought a fat plumber could do. But on top of all that, plumber boy can now do a spinning high jump, reminiscent of his cape-twirl in Super Mario World, and use his water pump in a vast number of ways. He can spray water at his foes, clean up the environments, use it as a limited jetpack to propel him into the air, and even sprinkle parts of the scenery to make things grow, which is a solution to some puzzles you'll find later in the game. There are also hidden routes around the island that you can explore, appropriately created as subterranean passageways.

Graphically, Super Mario Sunshine sparkles much more than it previously did, making those former judgements of it merely looking like a mere update of Super Mario 64 seem a bit hasty. The colourful models and surroundings are expertly detailed, with some excellent real-time lighting effects and reflections - a highlight being a huge tilting glass platform Mario fought on, which mirrored the whole area when it spun and shifted. A heat haze blurring effect is used at the edges of the impressively long range draw distance, and the whole thing looks crisp and sharp, despite some apparently basic textures in some places. Camera issues are also said to currently be one of the few things wrong, although it's hard to see this persisting in the final version - ever played a 3D Miyamoto led game that has a bad or at least constantly frustrating camera? Nope, neither have we.

With all these positive elements, along with Yoshi and Toad making their reappearance, Super Mario Sunshine could recapture the spirit of Super Mario World that some people thought was lacking in Mario 64. There's no doubt that it's an exciting game and could easily be Gamecube's Christmas blockbuster - along with a few other choice titles.

This game looks GORGEOUS. The Gamecube is shaping up to be quite a system. If I had a Gamecube I would SO pick this one up as soon as it comes out....the graphics are REALLY good...almost as good as MGS2s

This game looks absolutely beautiful.. just saw the preview on Tech TV's Extended Play program, and WOW!

I've never much cared for the Mario series.. but still, the graphics are amazing.

.....Why does Mario sound like somebody's squeezing his **** though? He's a short pudgy italian plumber, I don't think he would be a soprano.
