Samurai or ninja animes
I was just watching the Last Samurai, and now I'm on a samurai/ninja kit as of now. My computer is very crappy so I don't download. (actually waiting for it to crash) I was wondering if there are any good samurai/ninja animes out there?
I have Rurouni Kenshin (collection except for Reflections) and Ninja Scroll. Samurai Champloo should be coming in the mail within the next few days. |

and cant see how you can go wrong with Samurai Champloo, like LrdAlucard said.
Bleach also has some samurai elements to it mixed with some mysticsm (sp) but definately you cant go wrong with SC. My freind bought the volume 1 on dvd and it came with a bandana (instead of the usual stuff animes are bundled with) |

A long time ago, there was this one ninja anime/movie called Ninja Cadets which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I feel like there was supposed to be more, but it was only one "movie." It's not very well-known unlike some of the other stuff, but it's okay.
Otherwise, Rurouni Kenshin, Rurouni Kenshin OVAs, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Samurai Champloo are the pretty good ones that are mainstream. There's also PeaceMaker Kurogane which involves the Shinsengumi, unlike Rurouni Kenshin. Non-mainstream, there is this one kinda samurai-ish series called The Dog Warriors: Legend of the Hakkenden. The drawing style is a bit more realistic and the series is okay.

Ok, time for an update.
I have all of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X - to the end of the series) *Is scared to look at Reflections* (might make me cry >_>) I have Samurai Champloo. (Great) I have Ninja Scroll. I tried watching Samurai Deeper Kyo.... err.... I couldn't get into it. I think they butchered the action it was suppose to have. (It was like they were skipping some fights just here them talk) As far as these other animes (besides Samurai 7 and Naruto) can I find them in stores or do I have to download them? If so.... I can't. (Don't have the time for it, and my computer is still crappy) |
