Heavy metal, eh? I must admit that I'm not really a fan. I only like and listen to a few bands. I suppose you can say that I'm more for the classic rock, heavy rock, no punk rock, british rock type of stuffs.
In any case, let's see if I can think of any for the sub genres: Heavy Metal: Iced Earth Black Metal: Mystic Forest Death Metal: Six Feet Under Gothic Metal: Lacuna Coil Thrash Metal: Exodus Symphonic Metal: Adagio... not sure if it classifies as such Power Metal: ... Nu Metal: Godsmack + Sevendust Industrial Metal: ... Hrm, I think that's it. :p |

Heavy Metal - Slayer Black Metal - Celtic Frost Death Metal - Terroriser Gothic Metal - Paradise Lost Symphonic Metal - Dream Theather Power Metal - The Haunted Nu Metal - System of a Down Industrial Metal - Prong Speed Metal - Sodom Or something like that...

I don't really subscribe to this "labelling" of rock/metal bands and so to that end, I'm just gonna list some stuff.
Motley Crue Skid Row David Lee Roth Guns n Roses Metallica Disturbed Kid Rock Faith No More Alice in Chains Soundgarden Danger Danger Megadeth As you can see, I'm definitely more into the "old-school" flavours. If it's all about chicks, motorbikes, alcohol, sex, drugs and big hair..... chances are I'll like it! - S

i agree.. i dont really label music.. but some of the "harder" shit i like is as follows:
Nine Inch Nails Tool Atreyu The Bled From Autumn to Ashes Under Oath Poisin the Well Every time i die As i lay dying Shadows Fall *nsync* Old Korn Funeral For a Friend Recover Gamer awesome list... i would consider the atreyu variety hard rock as well even though the punk roots and such... but its definitely good either way you look at it

I don’t like labeling either, so I’ll just list some bands I like.
As I lay dying Unearth Burnt by the sun Sepultura (I mostly prefer the older stuff of this band) Pantera Metallica Black Sabbath Soilwork Archenemy Shadows fall Lamb of god Killswitch engage The Agony Scene Nothingface Evergreen Terrace Nine inch nails Fear Factory Chimaira Yakuza (I have been listening to alot of this band lately) Dog fashion disco Opeth The bled In flames Entombed DevilDriver Zao The dillinger escape plan Refused (although i do think they fall more into punk, still a good band though.) Yeah I think im done.
