I saw those images on the official site... they're pretty good.

Still, I simply can't believe how aweful the main hero ( Vaan ) looks! I mean, come on... that has to be the worst design I have ever seen in the most recent Final Fantasy games... Please, kill him off or somethin'!

details on the 2 new characters:

Fran is a female Viera weapons and martial-arts master whose age and past are a mystery. Being a sky pirate, she is also mechanically inclined as she has keep to her airship in working order. Balflear is a Hume (human) who appeared in trailers shown by Square Enix during its XII presentation last month. Balflear is also a sky pirate and has a strong relationship with his partner, Fran. A thief who loves alcohol and women, Balflear swears allegiance to no country, but only steals from villains.

actually, i'm far more irked by the newly revealed characters. originality good; bunny ears on leather-clad girls bad. Not too keen on the new guy either...

Square (or may I say Square-Enix) has gone all male fanservice. I mean, look at those FEMALES.

Not that I'll personally complain, but I'm sure many others (mostly females) aren't liking the direction this is all taking.
the game looks astonishing in any case.

Although I'm with you when it comes to Fran, I think that Balflear is way better than Vaan. You simply can't get any worse than that, really...

Alas... apparently, that's what their 'target autience' likes.

BTW, the official site has been uptaded with the 2 new characters...

there's a little article in the newest issue of gamepro, i just read thru it real quick..

There's going to be a free camera, full 360 (like Kotor). Also Asche is 19 and Vaan is 17..

looking good... i've seen the trailer before (IGN), but its somewhat interesting. The new character similarly raised a bit of interest, but to be honest, Final Fantasy XII just isn't exciting me like a new Final Fantasy game should... it doesn't look anything new, and the only "shock" thats come so far is the look of the Main Character... and that ain't all good anyway.

Summons look cool i guess... but they're hardly blowing me away. Perhaps this is the consequence of the platform's age - Final Fantasy XIII on the other hand...

it's cool, if it makes this place look tidy i have no objections..

the battle system reminds alot of KOTOR's i dunno if you've gotten a chance to play that one yet, but it's a significant change from the traditional battle system. i kinda like it..but i'll miss the old system for sure! It all i'm use too when playing a final fantasy game..

i hope its better than it looks.

truthfully, it looks a lot like ffx with bad costumes and a little lacking gameplay graphics.

dont get me wrong, the cinima scene graphics and pictures are awsome though. im looking forward to it, but only time will tell.

I've scanned 2 images from "Hyper Playstation 2" Japanese magazine. I don't know if anyone has seen these images, but take a look at them...they're not much though. And check out the new Moogles!

The character designer has some kind of ear fetish. I'm almost certain. Those Viera bunny-girls scare me. There is just something wrong about trying to make something with Bunny-ears sexy. The new Moogles are mega-cute though... hope they make plushies ^^.

Is anyone particuarly excited about FFXII? To be honest, i'm not overly excited... it's just one of those things that'll be nice to get when it eventually gets here, but i'm hardly having to sit on my hands out of anticipation...

Although Ashe and Vann may look like Yuna and Tidus, the storyline of the game will be very different. Some people said that Baltheir looks like Seifer and Zell put into a mixture.

i used to be mad about ff. but now i dont have any excitment left. PsX and PS2 took them away from me. Those bastards at square. They stopped making games for pc, they've killed ff for me. I stopped playng it after VIII cuz i couldnt afford it...so now....they might as well shove their new games up their asses cuz i just dont care!!
