Question about break ins... please help!
Ok so after the mission where i break into the colonels house n steal the mad ammo it says from that point on in the game i can then go and rob various houses at any time after dark in the game. So far I have not seen any blips or anything showing up on my map so I would know where to go to do this. Am i missing the point entirely? Do I have to do more main missions first? What's going on? I want to break into ppl's homes damnit!

Okay, settle down before you hurt yourself. It's really quite simple.
Remember the black van you used to steal from the colonel? You need that kind of van to start the house-breaking missions. I have seen a couple driving around but they are nigh on impossible to find that way. There is a location in each city where they usually always are. I'll assume you have the map that came with the game and use that to direct you. In Los Santos there is one parked across the road from the gym near CJ's house. It's inbetween two rows of houses and quite hard to miss. In San Fiero it's inside a fenced compound (A bank I believe) in the South-western part of the city. It's just North of Queens and just right of the 'N' in San Fierro. In Las Venturas it's in the South-eastern part of the city. On the map there's a place called 'Pilgrim'. It's in between two buildings just South of there. On the map it's where the second 'S' is in the name Las Venturas. Hope you find them, good luck!

Yeah or you can just buy the official guide, man. I know, it's cheating, but it's nearly impossible to find any of the secrets, extras, and other things without it.
Dactrius: if you found all the black Boxvilles without the guide, good job! I only was able to find them with the guide.

Thanks a mil Dactrius! I know what I'm gonna be doing tonight during my San Andreas session! Buy the guide, Meryl? Who would do a thing like that? Actually, I was contemplating it when I got the game but even with the discount when getting the game i decided it wasnt in my budget. I hadn't eaten yet and my health was down so I went to a fast food place. Wait, life is like GTA!

WEll, I've been doing break ins, now. The funny thing is, the game always has you breaking in the front door. Not to mention the noisy van you park right outside. LOL Just walking right in...kind of like how the game is called Grand THeft Auto and you just sorta open cars up and hop right in and drive away and if they are locked, better luck next time? LMAO

Yeah you could of at least climbed threw a window or picked the lock to add some realism, but nah, no one locks there doors in San Andreas, also when he/she spots you would just blast them so they cant ring the cops instead of just running out.

There is no challenge anyway in break ins there so easy, I've never been detected once, only once on my first time he rang the cops for that Ryder mission (I just ran out the house and ran back in and he didn’t even ring the cops and on re entry he was back in bed?!?! Stupid). I was more on about if it was realistic that’s what CJ would do kill him if he/she threatened to ring the cops. If he can casually kill a cop in the streets in daylight so he could do that for example.
